BEAUTIFUL, Fits just like in the advertisement. I always order big because I don’t like tight when working with children. It fits like a shirt/dress. The quality is well above average in comparison to the two others I bought from other vendors because I needed a variety of colors for our Black History Month Assembly. The colors are beautiful. I pray it doesn’t fade in the wash like gold sometimes does. Either way, the fit, comfort and look are regal, exactly what I was looking for.

The fabric and color are nicer in person. I was most pleased with the perfect size measurement. I purchased a xxl and it wascomfortable, not tight.

I was a tad nervous unwrapping the package, as it didn't seem as though the dashiki would be as large as I was hoping for. Yet, to my surprise, as I continued to unfold the shirt, it was pleasantly large! It will cover the overweight belly front and rear butt! Lol And it drapes off of the body loose enough. There is more than enough space under the arm pits so that you don't have to worry about ripping stitching everytime you cross your arms. I ordered the size 7x, and I think size 6x would have also worked, but, the material of this dashiki is very thin, which is perfect, so that you can wear a long sleeve garment beneath this in the fall and still not rip it anywhere due to running out of space. Also, size 7x assures me that after washer and dryer action, if I loose a little in shrinkage, the garment will still fit very well! And you should be happy that the material is thin, and not the old embroidery, and cotton dashiki of the 80s and 90s, that were hot, tight under the armpits and the embroidery felt like you had a huge wicker table mat on your chest and around the neck. These dashiki are perfect. I didn't examine the stitching, so I hope it holds up. Which is another reason to go 2 sizes or more over where you need to be, as tight clothing doesn't last long. You can wear this dashiki casual or throw on black slacks and make it slightly after five. This company has a few other tops that they say can be ordered up to size 7x, but the option to pick any size other that large, isn't there. I have written them requesting that they update the web pages. Long review, but we'll worth it.

I live in Dashikis. I am a petite woman, 5'2" and pushing 200 lbs, (a guesstimate... I never get on the scale anymore:)) Unfortunately, I have put on a lot of weight the past few years, and was looking for something that was JUST COMFORTABLE, which for me, has been EXTREMELY HARD to find. I am SO PLEASED to have found these great shirts. Even when I was thin I couldn't stand tight fitting clothes, but NOW it's even MORE important, not only for the GREAT comfort, but to add a little camouflage. I just love the feel and comfort of this Dashiki, but ONLY DUPSIE BRAND WILL DO!! I have tried other brands, because of the price and color choices, but sent them back, and re-ordered DUPSIES. The 3X or 4X fits me PERFECT. I found the OTHER brands I tried, even at this size, were STILL tight over my hips, (which has always been my problem area) and just TOO big on top. Plus I found their material was stiff and cheap feeling. DUPSIE'S brand just hangs perfect, from top to bottem and I love the material. It is light and airy without being cheap, and washing them in cold water makes the material even MORE COZY without wear or shrinkage. I have ordered THIS one TWICE. I can only liken the feel to wearing a fine high thread count sheet. IT IS PURE HEAVEN!!! I ALSO really like the look and style of these shirts as well, and feel totally confident wearing them GOING OUT. I have purcheased these in every shade DUPSIE 'S has, which is only a few, and if DUPSIES is reading this, "PUT OUT MORE COLORS, PLEASE!!!" HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

It's really comfortable. Do not wash unless you HAVE to. Some of the gold may come off. I probably should have hand washed it. Fit is good. It turns heads too.

Me and my husband went to South Africa and we both had on the shirts and we had so many compliments.

True to size, and comfortable, and I like that it has pockets.My husband and I got them to wear to his '70s class reunion party.
