AMAZING!
The art, the colors, and the quality of the Mexican cartoonist José Hernandez does an upstanding job for the story originally investigated and written by Jon Lee Anderson.

Good Book For First Graders
Inane, absurd comic book probably written for Cuban children trying to learn English. It was ordered by mistake, and goes right into the circular file.

Wrong format for this story
This was definitely the wrong format for this story. I had a really hard time following the story because of the format. It's not a story made to be a graphic novel. Also, it's a biography and I feel like I barely learned a thing or two about him. I do not recommend if you want to learn about him. Maybe it's cause I don't like politics but I also found it really boring. The art was gorgeous but everyone looked the same so it was hard tracking who was who.

A graphic novel biography of an iconic person
'Che: A Revolutionary Life' by Jon Lee Anderson with art by Jose Hernandez is a graphic novel biography of the famous revolutionary.Che Guevara's image has achieve iconic stature in the world, but I didn't know much about him. Che came from a wealthy Argentinian family and earned a medical degree. He traveled in South America and got politicized to help the oppressed. This led him to a meeting with Fidel Castro and helped Fidel to take over Cuba.I enjoyed reading this biography and learning about this famous figure. The art is pretty great too.I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Penguin Group and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

Rock Hudson?!
May have read to fast, after errorsFair biography. Good for Middle School students or aren't into reading or history (might get them started into and interested).Could diffidently of had more about Tania/Tamara Bunke (b.Argentina. e. E.Germany, Russia. Cuba revolution. d. Bolivia)Graphics: To much influence from 50's/60's pop movies. Have to admit Castro did look like Jack Palance. Che, idon't know Rock Hudson, James Dean...Clark Kent? Lot of Harry Potter characters.Maybe I'm harsh.

This book left me with many questions, which motivated me to do further research.
I read it in a few hours at a library. Some of the characters look very similar (as another reviewer stated). This story itself downplayed the horrors Che took part in. The guy was a psychopath, and some key points did stand out. Some of his writings were quoted, but again, they only skimmed the surface of the measures (of control) he was willing to go in the name of "healthy injustice." After reading this, I had a simple idea of the lengths Che was willing to go to force his ideology on others.
