Does this sander have a full-width drive wheel?

Not 100 percent sure of your question but the rear wheel is the same size as the front wheel which contacts the paper. BOTH are the same size as the paper. I used several Makita sanders as for a long timenthey were absolutely the best. Lost all mine in the fires. I bought 1 of these sanders to see if I liked it. I still love it and have purchased more. We need 3 at all times and use them 4 plus hours a day.

i have a metabo hpt belt sander the cord got sucked into the roller how can i get that out

I had the same thing happen the other day. Loosen the belt tightener and you should be able to pull it out. Had to solder the wires back together. It almost sucked it in again and tore some of the heat shrink tubing I used to cover the repair. I wonder if a change in design would help make this less likely?

Can you attach a hose/vacuum to remove dust instead of the dust bag

The dust exhaust port is 1.25 inches outside diameter so you should be able to use a hose with 1.25 inch inside diameter to fit the exhaust port and remove dust.
