Very powerful, but the rope tangles SOO easily
The magnet is definitely super powerful, I know this, because my 10 year old accidentally got it stuck to the leg of a public pier and it took two adults to get it off. Sadly we haven't caught anything while "fishing" with it yet, but I have no doubt it will work when we find a sweet spot. I wish I hadn't bought it with the rope though, it is thin paracord type rope and it tangles obnoxiously easy. I will probably replace the rope with a marine/boating type rope.

Buy a Different on.
Through the rope away and buy a Good One,with strength.No way that rope will hold 500 lbs ! Use Red Loch lite on treads. Magnet is no way close to 500 lbs ! I can snap it on 1/4" sheet of Steel,and pull it straight up,and pull off by one hand. Spend more money on name Brand. Very Disappointed.

High quality and power
Haven't used it yet. But WOW is it powerful. Care must be taken to not get pinched. Packaging is so good I'm going to keep it in original padded box. Very nice that a 500 pound rope is included. Instructions also show how to tie the most secure knot. Fit and finish is very nice. Very pleased. Waiting for weather to warm before taking it magnet fishing.

Hardware needs improvement.
Before even using this magnet, especially if you're using it for magnet fishing, make sure you replace machine head bolt with a longer one, and throw some lock nuts on it after you put the ring on. I firmly believe that this magnet and ring design was specifically engineered to be lost under water so that you would buy another one. The magnet is very strong, but the way that they send the ring attachment is very weak.

Very strong magnet
I'm very happy with the magnets pulling power just as described but I'm a little disappointed in the fact that rust is already starting to form on the magnet.i could have easily researched the material it was made of and figured that out but didn't because I assumed since the intended use for the magnet was to spend a lot if time in the water.overall I'm very happy with the product

Will purchase stronger magnet next time
Magnet strength is not as strong as expected. We magnet fish off our dock and normally it only picks up screws, nails, and occasionally metal parts. It takes some patience learning to pull slowly once it grabs ahold of something even as small as a metal wire

Nice and Strong
This magnet is like my coffee, nice and strong. Will be using it to clean up the horrible things people throw in our lakes up here. Why are people so bad.

It’s a cool toy to find all sorts of goodies
We have already found amazing items just thrown in the creek. I would recommend using rubber glove from the yuck that comes up.
