Works really well!
I got this vacuum for an 8 ft pool. It was easy to put together and use, with just a waterhose. I was able to clean the leaves & debris in about 10 minutes. Since I only have a small above ground pool, I was not going to spend a lot on a vacuum and this one is inexpensive and does the job well. Great little vacuum for small pools!

Saved my pool
This thing actually worked amazingly. Like wow I had 0 expectations of it working as I paid 7 bucks after my Amazon reward points. It literally saved my pool. Perfectly clean pool now after literally hundreds of tadpoles hatched, grew, and pooped all over my newly setup (no chemicals because I forgot to order) pool and a lot of tadpoles died in there. I have a really crappy filter and this product is my savior. The only downside is it kept coming apart while cleaning but not bad otherwise. 100% recommend.

Good Little Fella
This water-powered vac works remarkably well, and for the price, it's a very good value. It cleaned the bottom and seats of our spa very nicely and with minimum effort. The bag is far bigger than it needs to be, but I suppose it can also be used for gathering leaves and larger debris. The four slim, aluminum poles snap together easily if a bit flimsy, but sturdy enough. The thin poles make gripping a bit difficult so turning the vac head takes some practice. All assembled without fuss and does the job intended. The snap-on hose clamp works well, but needs a stout push to engage. No need to wade in and try to snag small particles, when you can hook up the hose and vac it all away. The mesh bag empties easily by turning inside-out. Other units, some with batteries cost many times more, but this gizmo does the work without wading in at a bargain price.

An Average Product: as good as similar, more expensive items
The product does what it claims: vacuums up leaves and debris. It does this by using the pressure from your hose to create a vacuum 'effect'. Therefore it will not vacuum up sand. Additionally, small debris will easily filter through the mesh bag. If you are looking for an above ground pool vacuum to grab the larger stuff, this is as good as any. There are others available of similar or exact design priced higher than this item (upwards of $24). This product, at half that price, will give you the same performance as those others. My first one lasted the summer (4 months), with weekly use (2x) before the plastic parts snapped and the metal pins for the extension pole rusted and fell out. Up until then it did what I needed it to do. I use this on my 18x48 Intex Above Ground Metal Frame Pool. With two large Cotton Wood trees on either side of the pool I get lots of leaves and debris in the pool. By using this vacuum It takes me about 40 minutes to completely vacuum out the dropped vegetation. The product arrived well packaged and within a few days of ordering. THE CON: The Product Features for this item says "Also attaches to conventional telepoles using supplied telepole handle attachment". This attachment is not included. It is nowhere to be found in the pressure formed packaging. There isn't even a pre-formed space for this item so it wasn't a case of the item missing but rather it isn't offered at all. The seller should remove this statement. Part of my purchase was based on the ability to attach a different pole because the included pole is so cheaply made. In any event, the 8194 Vacuum is fine for the time it is needed. At this price I will likely order a couple more to have on hand for next spring/summer.

From 5 stars to 2 in less than two minutes
I am on a well system and my water contains a lot of minerals that, in time, leaves "sand" at the bottom of my hot tub. I bought this spa vac for ease of cleaning. The vac was easy to assemble, and worked pretty well for about a minute, then it didn't seem to be picking much up when I moved from the footwell to the seats. After another minute, the quick connect disconnected from the hose. I reconnected only to have it blow off again and again shortly after it was put into in use, even when I lessened the flow.. After numerous reconnections and picking up practically nothing, I finally gave up once I noticed cold water was escaping from the quick connect when I reached down into the tub, thus losing the vacuum action. The quick connect is a nice convenience, but it seems to be a bad design flaw for this application. A regular screw connection would have been a better choice. Totally useless now. Would have given it one star except it did work... for a minute.

This little thing is awesome!
I'd never used a pool vacuum that is powered by a water hose before and I wasn't sure how this was going to work, especially with its low price. The package doesn't come with an instruction book or manual, so you assemble it by referencing the illustrations on the back. The parts interconnect and no tools are required, so assembling the vacuum is easy and so is connecting it to a water hose. As soon as the water was turned on, this little thing got to work! I know that some reviews mentioned the debris bag being too small or not secured well, but I didn't have any problems with either of those factors. The bag is attached with a drawstring, but it never seemed loose while it was being used and it was easily cleaned with a few sprays from the water hose. I don't have issues with leaves in the water, but just some bugs and typical debris, so the bag was more than large enough for my needs. I've got a 18'x9'x48" above ground Bestway pool and this vacuum got the entire floor and curves of the walls spotless in a little less than 15 minutes! It has a lot of suction power and is easy to maneuver. I'd recommend using the vacuum while you're in the water if at all possible because the water pressure from the hose can be a bit messy. I was very impressed with the power of this vacuum and would highly recommend it to others!

Great and cheap alternative.
I didn’t want to shell out $100+ for the cordless vac so I figured I’d give this a try. My pool isn’t super dirty but does get that sand/dirt build up on the bottom. I started by skimming the top and bottom of any larger debris. Then I waited about 20 min for everything not caught to settle at the bottom. Turned this on and was surprised how well it actually worked. I think they missed the mark on making the bottom part a bit bigger to try and grab more area at a time as things get displaced the more you move it around. The suction is not bad. I think this may depend on your hose and water pressure. I have an expandable hose with a high pressure valve so I got pretty good suction. It managed to get a decent amount of stuff. Right before going inside after putting everything away, I took a look and saw some little piles that I need to redo. This goes back to the small head attachment and disturbing everything before getting it sucked up. But, there was way less dirt than before. All in all, takes less than 10 min from setup to put away for my small intex 10x30 and I don’t mind doing it every few days to save a good amount of money on the cordless vacs

Amazing!
This gadget is brillant!!!!! Our pool is surrounded by trees so we have small branches and twigs that block our vacuum. 5 min with this and all the bulky stuff is picked up!! I am so happy it works just like it said it would!!!

It Works!
My daughter's 8'x3' inflatable pool was starting to collect leaves and sand on the bottom, plus a recent storm blew a lot of debris and "grit" from roof tiles into it. This little vacuum was exactly what I needed. Very simple set-up, easy to use, and easy to clean. It won't get the very fine particles, but agitating the water and letting the filter take care of it or skimming with a fine mesh pool strainer takes care of that. This vacuum uses the Venturi effect to create the suction, and it does it well. Highly recommend for small Intex/Summer Waves pools or hot tubs.

Did the Job
Have only used it once, but man did ever clean up all the grit at the bottom of our pool. The rollers makes it easy to maneuver. Just wish it had brushes but then if it did, it wouldn't have the rollers. Hardly took anytime to clean our easy set up 18' x 48" pool. We had hoped we could use the poles from our other handheld vacuums, but to no avail.

A pool vacuum worth buying
This little piece of equipment is amazing. The floor of my hot tub is so clean after using it and if you turn the vacuum upside down in the water it also sucks up any floating debris. Would definitely recommend it
