Pelican Storm iM2975 Case With Foam (Black)

Have an Celestron 8SE telescope that we take with us when camping, as it is a significant investment and fragile equipment I needed something that would be rugged enough take on our journeys and survive the back of a pickup truck. This case was perfect in size and while it took awhile to cut the foam to support all the components for the scope it ended up fitting perfectly and I know it is very safe and secure in there. The layered foam blocks were easy to "pluck" out to create the perfect fit for the mount and the telescope tube itself. While the wheels don't travel over rough terrain well, they work great for getting the scope around the house and driveway, and the handles make it easy to load and unload. While I know your probably thinking the price is outrageous for a case, they are built to last, and built to protect. Highly recommended.

Big, heavy, tough. military looking. ok I didnt meet the minimum review requirement of twenty words, but thats really all you need to know about this pelican storm case. I guess I would recommend this case if you have a very specific need or purpose in mind for it. otherwise it really is overkill. On the other hand, it looks cool, so go ahead and put all the stuff you need for your disneyworld trip in it.

We have very expensive camera gear and when that gear is our livelihood, transporting it safely is a major concern. These Pelican Cases are doing their job extremely well and I have no regrets in purchasing them. I will probably end up purchasing more in the near future.

use this case to hold my 2 chauvet intimidator spot 350 led moving heads. The wheels and handle is a great feature.
