Anybody know if this is uv resistant so it won't deteriate in sunlight? and does it off-gas toxic chemicals? i want to use it for curtains.

I really don't know, it's made for the outside area.

How well will this prevent weeds and vegetation from growing? I intend to use this for a five foot wide by 200 foot stretch.

It stopped all vegetation from growing in my case....just what I wanted it for. All I wanted was to cover my garden soil for the Winter, and it did just what I wanted it to do. Hope this helps in your decision making.
