go buy the milwaukee 5387-22!
As a long time milwaukee drill fan (and an extremely happy owner of the venerable Milwaukee 5371 2 sp hammer drill from 1984!) I purchased this Makita for an employee at his request - and it was cheaper to boot!Now, mind you this is a CORDED 2-speed gearcase hammer drill, so when we plugged it in an tried to use a 1-1/8" ship auger in a 2x6 - guess what - the clutch kicked in - THE CLUTCH? nice touch for an underpowered drill - like a small drill like this needs a clutch! This is not a cordless screwdriver - but a "heavy duty" drill.Looks like a bunch of LAWYERS designed this TOY!So I pulled out my 5371 milwaukee and instantly blew through the wood. needless to say, the mak went right back into the box and back to Amazon. In exchange, I ordered the NEW version of my drill, the Milwaukee 5387-22 and it is every bit as good as the old one - and in a totally different league than the BLUE TOY from Makita.As usual, AMAZON was Amazing in the ease of return and fairness factor - thanks Amazon.my 2 cents!
