The shoe even smaller than advised
Beautiful tap shoe, with good-sounding taps... Ordered larger, and my foot JUST did fit inside the shoe. Figured they'd stretch with wear, but developed blisters at my heels within 15 minutes of wear... Took them to a shoe shop, who stretched them for 4 days - to no avail. Leather just too tough to stretch. When blisters heal, I'll try the shoe stretch spray, and walk in them - in another attempt to loosen them up.

Tap with caution… or get a rasp
The fit is great. The look is perfect. These are much more easy to break in than we were warned. The taps are SHARP. Like we had to get out a rasp and file the edges because they dig in and catch on the floor, which makes tapping difficult, I’m told. Strange, because none of the other Bloch tap shoes are like this, just the Leos. So, while not perfect, the best wingtip tap shoe price and definitely worth what we paid for them.

Check those screws for the taps
We buy this particular brand since it’s part of required shoes for my kids’ dance studio. So far this is the only one where the screws on one shoe fell off. and we’ve bought this brand from dance stores at least once or twice a year for the last 5 years. Otherwise, the shoes look great, as long as the screws don’t come off in the middle of class

Runs small/strong smell
The shoe has a very strong chemical smell. It doesn’t smell like leather and it is quite pungent. The shoe also runs small. We were fortunate enough to find a store where we could try the shoe on but not buy it, so we knew exactly what size to order. Had we not done that we definitely would have had to send the shoe back for a different size. Unfortunately the sound of the tap is quite flat. It might be that we are used to the sound of teletones but it’s got a “thud” quality to it rather than a sharp and clean sound.

These tap shoes do not run true to street shoe ...
These tap shoes do not run true to street shoe size. My dancers have always worn this particular brand so they fit as I have expected this brand to fit.

Happy tapping!
I absolutely adore these shoes. great quality shoe! But listen to all the reviews and size UP! I'm normally an 8-8.5 and ordered the 9.5 and they fit perfectly.

Way too small and not comfortable
I hoped I had stumbled across some decent beginner shoes, but was disappointed in the fit, materials, and lack of comfort.
