Read up before you buy
Product description is misleading then you go to website and find out the truth about this product. Works thru ms dos not a little app like I presumably thought.

Excellent!
Although not cheap, this was the only thing I could find that allows me to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on my Sony Trinitron GDM-FW900: [...]. This particular model enabled me to get the required audio breakout not usually possible when using a VGA adapter with a Nintendo Wii-U. Unlike other consoles you cannot run HDMI & an composite AV cable for audio simultaneously with Wii-U. The other great thing about it is the Double HDMI inputs. Coupled with a VGA>BNC5 cable I was able to connect Wii-U & PS3 to my FW900's BNC input and also have my Xbox 360 hooked up to the VGA input, I will now get a lot more use out of this awesome monitor thanks to this device. It is also worth mentioning that this particular model will also work with Arcade Forge's SLG3000 scanline generator, where earlier models apparently do not.

Strips the most important thing, the reason your all here, the HDCP.
4 stars due to the Hdfury not being updated with the current firmware what with it being second hand, wasted a couple days plugging in unplugging, switching hdmi cables, switches, so long story short, got intouch with hdfury via discord, the fella there gave me contact email, got intouch, next day I was sent the the new updated firmware, once installed quick plugging in the USB clicking the software for your model of splitter then update, the place back into the switcher, connecting the PS4 and PS3 via the switcher into the splitter, this splitter STRIPS THE HDCP, so you're free to stream old PS3 games. Well worth the price of a second hand splitter.

Breathe new life into pre-HDMI sceens with component input
I have an old (purchased 2004) Panasonic plasma, that is pre- HDMI, but only has analogue component input and scart. I fed my 1080i digital video camera into the component input, the camera having HD digital to analogue conversion, and got near-HD pictures. Having researched the internet, I found threads that suggested a HDMI to component input gets round the HDMI/HDCP "handshake" protection, and gives a new lease of life to pre-HDMI screens. The HDFury3 woks a treat, giving a picture with more saturated colours, better contrast, sharper picture (which is the whole purpose of HD over standard definition), and although more expensive than other converters ( of which many do not work, hence a waste of money) means I don't have to fork out for new screen. The HDFury3 has many settings, which I have not yet experimented with, as there there is no instruction book, so you will have to contact the manufacturers direct for further help. I recommend it if you can afford the device, it certainly gives you a much better picture through scart connections. You obviously need a HD satellite or Freeview HD or Blu-ray player to feed the screen. I have no connection with the manufacturers!

Much better than cheaper alternatives (e.g. Rankie), as doesn't crush blacks. However, it produces subtle noise on dark backgrounds and gives overal gray-ish image.

Fixed sound issue with Firestick & Matrix switcher
I use a matrix switcher to project different inputs to several tvs around the house. This is done via CAT6 cable. I have never had a problem with any previous devices, but with a newly purchased FireStick, I could only get picture, no sound. I purchased this after spending many hours researching articles and questions on numerous forums. I plugged the FireStick into the device, and then into the Matrix Switcher, and it worked straight away, no changing settings on anything. Pleasantly surprised.
