Can the navage nasal dock-nose pillow combo be safely cleaned with ozone?

Great question!  While we haven't yet tested the effects of ozone on the Nose Pillows, I've forwarded your question to our research and development group.  If I hear anything, I'll be sure to update the answer on Amazon!

To be clear, Naväge Nose Pillows are made from a medical grade silicone, and when properly cared for and cleaned with anti-bacterial dish soap or vinegar water, should stay clean and fresh indefinitely.  Additionally, you can spray or apply a diluted bleach solution onto the Nose Pillows and allow it to sit for not more than about five minutes. Then thoroughly rinse the areas with warm tap water. You can mix your own solution (one part Clorox Regular Bleach to three parts water), or there are several commercially available options, including Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner+Bleach.

We are a family of two. Can we both use the Navage Unit if we have our own, separate nasal dock and pillows?

Great question! The Naväge Nose Cleaner is engineered so the “before-rinse” (clean saline) and the “after-rinse” (waste saline) never touch.  This makes the risk of spreading germs from one user to another relatively low.
 
That said, the best practice hygienically is for each user to have his or her own device.
 
However, if you are intent on sharing a Naväge Nose Cleaner, you can greatly reduce the risk of spreading germs by each user having his or her own Nasal Dock-Nose Pillow Combo.  The combo includes a Nasal Dock in your choice of white or teal, and a pair of Nose Pillows in your choice of standard, small, or extra large.  The combo is only $10.95, 27% less than if the items are purchased separately and is available on Amazon.

Can you disinfect in microwave sterilizing bag?

Great question! We haven't tested the effects of using a microwave sterilizing bag on the Nasal Dock and Nose Pillows, but you’ve inspired us! We’ve ordered some of those, and we will be testing them with the Nasal Dock and Nose Pillows. We’ll post our results to this question when complete. In the meantime, to accomplish a thorough cleaning of your Nose Cleaner, based on extensive lab testing and a lot of good customer feedback, we have found the following best practices to be effective:

Spray or apply a diluted bleach solution onto the Nose Cleaner (including the Nose Pillows and Nasal Dock) and allow it to sit for not more than about five minutes. Then thoroughly rinse the areas with warm tap water, paying special attention to lifting the drain valve and running water through the drain.

You can mix your own solution (one part Clorox Regular Bleach to three parts water), or there are several commercially available options, including Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner+Bleach.

Wipe the underside of the white center module and battery door with a soft cloth dampened with the bleach solution, and allow it to air dry. Do not rinse the underside of the mechanical module.
