Red Vines Licorice, Grape Flavor Twists, Soft & Chewy Candy, 5oz Trays (12 pack)

When I received the licorice it was still relatively fresh and flavorful.

So Twizzlers had a grape limited edition that I really enjoyed, but they discontinued it after 3 months. So, I figured I enjoy Red Vine's Red, so why not give their grape a try. I wasn't disappointed. Like the Red, the flavor isn't overwhelming. It's just good. But whereis I could eat an entire box of the Red in one sitting, I can't do that with the grape. 4pcs. and I'm done for about an hour. A good time perhaps.

Old dark in color no taste i used to buy every other week almost Never again! Plus Amorim would not give me credit trillion air. But won’t stand behind this product. I feel Amazon ripped me off !!!

Licorice was hard and unable to eat.

I love grape licorice but it is so hard to find in stores. I have bought different brands some the taste fades or they come old but these are great they are soft and the grape flavor is good. Best I have found so far.

Best licorice ever!! I need to go to LA, licorice anonymous because I could eat a pound a day!! I have ordered the 4 pound container and the 5 oz. packages and they all come very, very fresh. I would rather them to come "not so fresh" because I let them hang out in the air to harden a bit, if I can. I also put them in the fridge to get them harder so I can eat them faster :-) . Well worth the price because I have only seen them one time in the grocery store.

There is a vast improvement in both texture and grape flavor once the package is opened and allowed to air-dry for 36 hours. Initially, the first piece I withdrew from a fresh package broke due to the very soft texture. Further, I could not discern any grape flavor and worse, a waxy profile permeated the twist. After 1.5 days, the texture improved 300%, the aroma at least 100%, and I could clearly discern the subtle grape flavor one reviewer cited. The "waxy" profile was reduced by half its original strength but remains noticeable. I will continue the curing process and re-edit this review after a week or two; hoping to report the grape flavor has concentrated further while the "waxy" flavor has diminished. These twists are mildly sweet with 4 grams of sugar per twist. If the grape flavor were much stronger and the "waxy" flavor eliminated, this product would be 5 stars.

Not the greatest flavour very plastic rubber flavor tasted much nicer liquorice from here in the UK
