Ordering in bulk is much more economical that the small packages in grocery stores. These work well with bread machines and although it takes time to work though the pound of yeast, it remains effective when stored in the fridge.

I love this product....but it took way to long to receive it. It was like 3 weeks or more.

Wonderful yeast... Especially for bread and wine making.

Works well and keeps a long time in the fridge

I make homemade bread every two or three days and purchase this because of the bulk price. This makes bread as good as any store-bought yeast, I've used and I highly recommend it for anyone who makes bread often. The yeast rises quickly and even after having one bag for over six months it was still active. I transferred some to a small dark jar And fold and seal the rest in the heavy bag to keep it fresh.

This was the only yeast I could find during the early days of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. Both my college age daughter and I love to bake, and we ran out of grocery store yeast in the first week of quarantine. A pound of yeast is a lot to buy for your home kitchen at one time, but it was worth it. We have made dozens of loaves of bread, rolls, and pizza crusts while we've been unable to eat at restaurants. This yeast proofs quickly, has good rising power, and good flavor. The only downside is that it comes in a non-resealable package. I got around that by refilling my empty jar of grocery store yeast and putting the rest in a pint canning jar. I may never buy yeast from the grocery store again. If you think you can use or store a pound of yeast before it goes bad, I'd highly recommend this product.
