can you put a extension on the end to get into deep places?

If you can make one, sure, but it’s not like a socket set. You would need to remove the handle. Find a socket that just fits over the top, then drill thru the socket and add a pin. Use a t handle etc. toughest is to drill through the socket. You will need to anneal the socket, or use a carbide drill. Good luck.

Do these tap handles have a center hole on the backside for a tap guide?

Mine do. I ran a center drill in just so they are easier to use in drill press. I have 3 different sizes so pretty well covers taps I use . The collet threads are very rough I put neverseize on them with a little oil . The knurled grip part is all wrong as it’s right where you can’t use it

Does the tap handle set come with a case to store them in?

No, the tappers come in a plastic bag fill with oil to reduce it from rusting . Cause the 3 tappers are made of steel or iron something like that . Guess it like you have to buy you own case for the tappers .
