Very versatile and tasty
I love this vegetarian meat analogue. It has not changed its taste and flavor since eating it as a child 50 years ago. I like to sauté in olive oil with tomatoes and onions and eat it with homemade whole grain toasted bread, or mashed up with mayonnaise and chopped onions for a sandwich or spread with crackers.

Great Product! Amazon is the best!
I can't find this delicious product locally. It has a wonderfully firm texture and a deliciously salty nutty flavor. It works well as a meat substitute. Sadly my first can was dented, but Amazon replaced it with a perfectly sealed brand new can at no cost to me! Buy with confidence!!

Reading is fundamental. 07/07/2020 update
I am so disappointed in myself for not paying attention. You would not believe my total shock and disappoint when my package arrived. There was ONE CAN yes ladies and gentlemen ONE FREAKIN CAN for $14.00 that is highway robbery. Price gouging at it’s finest. I have not opened up my can yet so I cannot speak on the flavor; but I will update this when I prepare it tomorrow. I need frozen peas. I am going to prepare it the same way I used to prepare Nuteena. I will use frozen peas, celery, onion, and relish in addition to mayo and various seasonings. Toast some bread and spread it on top. I hope it taste good at $14 a pop it better be darn good. #******UPDATE******* I said I was going to write an update here it is. I prepared the nuti loaf exactly how I would NUTEENA. I WAS absolutely thrilled when I tasted it. My only complaint about this brand is that it’s not firm. NUTEENA was firm so you would be able to take it out of the can slice it up and fry it this was more of a mushy consistency but the taste was there. I was so happy it really fulfilled my craving for NUTEENA.

Vegetarian product
Picture om outside of can does not match what is inside the can. One big chunck inside the can and you have to cut it up.

this so NOT Nuteena...
I had such high hopes for this product as I've loved and mourned the lose of Nuteena from the Loma Linda food line. i got my first can last night and eagerly opened it to make a sandwich. i was horrified at the texture which is NOTHING like Nuteena. Nuteena was a smooth product which you could easily slice for sandwich or frying. This product was mealy and crumbly and a gross dark texture wherease Nuteena was a creamy light colored product.Cedar Farms Nuti-Loaf is so much more like Nuteena in taste and looks than this crap....i will never recommend it to another soul. i want them to enjoy a product not hate me for recommending crap.if i could return this nasty food and get my money back I would.i can never get that taste out of my mouth.

Delicious peanut-based protein
Love taste, and it is very filling. It is high in calories, just like peanuts. I would definitely buy it more often if it was less expensive.

The price has changed over the years to about 3x
I first bought this product about 1975 and I don't remember paying anywhere near this much. This product has a loaf like effect and you can press it out of the can by opening both top and bottom. The Product has distinct nut like flavor and is pretty bland ( much like tufu) in soup. A cheese meltsandwich works pretty well. As a meat substitute even sliced thin, it costs too much for the resulting product that you get. Loma Linda when an SDA company keep price more reasonable, but the current company sells this dog food like product at about three time the historical price. Do they hate vegetarians? I think the product was developed for a WWII meat substitute and used to K-rations served to soldiers? I know the links made by Loma Linda were used in K rations in the Korean war.
