Good compromise between OEM walnut and Pach Gripper
While I like the look of the classic S&W OEM walnut grips, I wanted something that offered better handling. From the description of these - 10% smaller than Pachmayr's Gripper - I figured these would be a good compromise for my 4" S&W K-frame (Model 64). They are: not too big, not too small - just right. It points pretty naturally and feels well balanced. If you tighten the grips too much during installation, you'll prob. create a gap at the tops of the L & R sides - you can back off the tension on the mounting screw, and bend the tops inward ever so slightly. I don't have small hands, but wear XL gloves due to long slenderish fingers. These grips are just about perfect for me. My trigger finger falls naturally to the fleshy part of the tip, my thumb falls naturally to the cylinder latch, three fingers fit comfortably in the front-strap grooves, and the grips don't interfere with an HKS speedloader. Feels good with 1- or 2-handed grip. Will have to see how it carries when I get a holster. My one gripe (and it's not a deal-breaker) is that, if I had to whack someone with the butt of the revolver, the metal is padded by about 1/2" of rubber. Will have to test it out on some unsuspecting passerby. The slight tackiness/grippiness of the rubber might cause a tight-fitting shirt to hang up when carrying - we'll see. But I love the feel overall. Certainly good for home defense, at the very least. They look pretty good, too.

S&W model 15: Great Fit, Comfortable Feel
I noticed that a lot of police trade-in revolvers had these grips (stocks) installed on them. I handled one of those trade-ins at my local gun store, and really liked the feel. The factory wooden grips on my S&W model 15 felt awkward to me. I'm 5'10" with average size hands and fingers. GRIP FEEL: When I gripped my model 15's factory wooden stocks, my finger seemed to land high on the trigger . The grip wasn't too big, or too small, just awkward. I wanted grips that felt more like the factory rubber monogrip that comes on the S&W 686. I attached a photo comparison between the 686 grips and the Pachmayr Grippers. The Pachmayr Grippers come in two styles. The open/exposed back (reviewed here), and the fully enclosed style with palm swell. I purchased and tried both types. I didn't care for the fully enclosed-back palm swell style grips. Your results may vary. To me, the fully enclosed style felt more bulky, but not entirely uncomfortable. It's not that the other style grips are too big or too small. I just like where my trigger finger lands, and the trigger control I get, with these. They remind me of the feel of a finger grooved 1911A1. GRIP QUALITY: A lot of reviewers noted poor quality control with these grips. Pachmayr may have read some of these negative reviews and corrected those issues. I'm pretty particular and I didn't see any quality control deal-breakers with these grips. I attached a number of photos for you to decide for yourself. There is a small gap at the bottom, rear of the frame (see photo). To me, this isn't a big deal. I'm using these on a "K" frame, so there may not be a gap on the "L" frames.. APPEARANCE: I really like the look of these rubber grips on my "K" frame. Although I prefer Hogue Monogrips on the smaller "J" frame Smiths. If you have an older Smith 15, like me, the S&W logo appears on the passenger side of the gun. At some point after the late 1970s they moved the logo to the driver's side of the gun. If you have an older gun the logo will be partially obscured by the passenger side grip. Just something to be aware of, in case that's a deal breaker. OVERALL: I really like these grips, especially at $27. They're comfortable and improve my trigger feel/control. If I needed grips for a model 19 (.357 magnum), I might opt for the recoil reducing enclosed style model. These grips are near perfect for my use.

Good Value
Great for shorter fingers, gets the palm closer to the trigger, not the best fit (formed rubber after all) compared to wood grips, doesn’t lay flush on the upper back, very small gaps here and there, But it’s the best grip so far I have found for a quickly leveled aim and easy pull on my Model 13 S&W 357.
