My go to filament
I’ve tried quite a few different PLA filaments over the years, but eSUN PLA+ has become my go-to choice. I use it regularly for 3D printing wargaming terrain as well as miniatures, and it’s consistently given me excellent results on both. The prints come out clean with good detail, and I’ve found the filament to be very reliable with hardly any failed prints. It feeds smoothly through my printer and sticks well to the build plate, which means I can just start a print and let it get on with the job. Whether I’m printing large pieces of scenery or smaller, more detailed models, the quality has always been impressive. The spool is neatly wound, so I haven’t had any tangling issues, and the finished prints are strong enough for regular gaming use. For the price, it’s excellent value, and it’s the filament I keep coming back to. I’d happily recommend it to anyone with a 3D printer.

Superb. Regularly inr otation with my Bambu and Overture Filaments
The **eSUN PLA+ Filament 1.75mm** is a fantastic choice for 3D printing enthusiasts who need enhanced toughness and durability without compromising on print quality. This **PLA Plus filament** builds on the easy-to-print properties of standard PLA, offering increased impact resistance and tensile strength, making it ideal for more demanding applications such as functional prototypes, mechanical parts, and detailed models. The filament is manufactured with **strict diameter tolerances**, ensuring smooth and consistent extrusion, which results in high-quality prints with minimal stringing or warping. Its excellent layer adhesion further enhances the strength and durability of printed models. Compatible with most FDM 3D printers, the filament is user-friendly, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced users. Available in a variety of vibrant colors, the **eSUN PLA+ Filament** produces prints with a smooth, polished surface finish. Whether you're creating decorative items, functional components, or artistic projects, this filament delivers reliable performance with enhanced toughness, making it a go-to choice for achieving strong, professional-grade results.

Printed well, but cardboard spools can be messy in AMS systems
I was happy with the print quality from this filament and it performed well throughout the spool. The filament printed reliably, produced good results, and I didn't have any issues with the material itself during printing. The only thing I'd mention is to be a little cautious if you use an AMS or other automatic filament feeding system and receive one of the cardboard spool versions. Over time the edges of cardboard spools can chip slightly and leave behind small pieces of cardboard dust or debris, which isn't ideal inside an AMS unit. That's more of a consideration for the spool material rather than the filament itself, but it's worth being aware of if you run an automated multi-material setup. Overall, it's a good filament that I'd happily use again, especially for printers that don't use an AMS system.

Performs beautifully.
With the purchase of a new printer (BambuLabs X1Carbon) I have been going through my stock of filament at a rapid rate. Fortunately for me a sale day popped up and had a range of eSun filaments at reduced prices. eSun PETG is one of my favourites so I thought I would try PLA+ for the first time. First things first - it comes very securely packaged in a proper cardboard box, within which the roll is in a thick vacuum sealed plastic bag complete with dissicant. You also get a nicely printed booklet showing the range of filaments and the associated temperatures for optimal performance, which is a nice touch. Quite often the manufacturer just leaves you to do some trial and error. As an aside to anyone considering the X1 or X1Carbon or already owns it - this filament fits into the AMS unit perfectly without fouling the lid or running off-center. The only thing missing is an NFC chip so the unit recognises it automatically! It's pretty forgiving stuff, I used the default settings for PLA which were actually a little low on the temperature side, but it printed quite happily without getting grumpy and causing me any problems. I did up the temperature to the suggested settings after the initial print and it has continued to print well. I have had no issues at all with adhesion on the Bambu flex plate with any filament, this filament included. From my experience, the way this prints I don't imagine anyone else would have any issues either. This filament is definitely worth 5 stars in my opinion, the fact it was on sale and cost less than unbranded mystery filament usually does was the icing on the cake and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

great PLA for beginers
I always find Esun PLA some of nicest Filament to use as a beginer. I have had no problems with clogging, or Adhesion as long as you stick to the directions and the advised temp range you'll be fine. prints in normal pla and the matte pla always have a lovely finish and texture and I have found the Colours to be very consistant, and above all it's great value for money.

eSUN PLA+ Blue. Genuinely the worst filament i've ever used. Total waste of money.
This is a staggeringly bad filament, brittle with poor layer adhesion (bed adhesion is fine) and with extra brittle spots (fresh out of the bag) on the reel that snap whilst printing leading to print failure. I've not managed to achieve a successful 2 hour + print with this filament thus far without the filament snapping on the reel. The finished prints are also extra brittle with poor layer adhesion which is totally counter to the point of a PLA+ I have use other eSun PLA+ colours successfully so i think this Blue colour may be particularly bad.1/10 a total waste of cash, out of the ~40 filaments i have used, and several hundred prints i have done, this is the worst. On a general note, eSun spool winding is much worse than it used to be. See picture for a back to back temp tower test of the appalling eSun PLA+ Blue (left) with a quality orange filament (right).

Used to be a wonderful filament ... not any more?
I have used eSun PLA+ filament for several years on a Voron 2.4 printer. Until recently I was getting near-perfect results every time. The last batch I ordered came in the new cardboard spool. The result straight out of the vacuum sealed factory bag is CATASTROPHIC. Bubbles everywhere and stringing as bad as PETG. Horrible ! Unfortunately I have missed the return window otherwise I would have sent it back.
