Great quality wifi
Got this for a laptop as it's so much faster than the internal WiFi. Was getting speeds of about 7 to 10mbs with the internal, now getting speeds of 350mbs, can be left in all the time as it hardly sticks out at all, and seems to be just as fast using the usb 2.0 as the 3.0, so it keeps the faster ports free. Works with both windows and Linux didn't need to install any other drivers, but found it better to disable old WiFi in Linux as it tried to use both and sometimes defaulted to old WiFi. Price was great, and the fact that it fits well and doesn't poke out is great.

Must have for any older desktop unit
I noticed sudden decline in connection speed with my old usb stick, for some reason it was throttling to 1.4Ghz. I pay for 70Mbps with BT, and this new dongle instantly returned the speed. It comes with a driver disc which works perfectly on Window 10. Easy to use. Fits perfectly.

Surprisingly effective - recommended despite initial problems
The dongle is for a second, non-networked desktop located away from my router. I plugged it into the rear of the desktop and the reception was poor and intermittent. On-line suggestions were for an extension cable mounted away from the floor and computer. I had a 2-metre one and it was successful. Reception is fine. It was easy to set up, once the cause of the problem was known. The dongle is cheap, and looks it, but it works fine now. It would have been five star had the cable not been required. Recommended with the caveat of budgeting for the extension cable.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Wi-Fi Dongle
I purchased the TP-Link AC600 USB Wi-Fi Dongle to boost my PC’s wireless connectivity, and it has exceeded my expectations. Setup was a breeze—just plug it in, install the drivers (which are easy to download if needed), and you’re ready to go. The dual-band feature is fantastic. I mainly use the 5 GHz band, which delivers fast and stable internet speeds, perfect for streaming and gaming. The compact design is a bonus as it doesn’t get in the way, even when connected to a tight USB port. For the price, this little dongle is an excellent upgrade for older PCs or laptops without built-in Wi-Fi. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple and effective solution to wireless connectivity!

AC600 Wi-Fi dongle. Fast, long-range, cockpit-ready. Built for rigs, streams, and mobile setups.
Type: Dual-band USB Wi-Fi dongle Bands: 2.4GHz (up to 200 Mbps) + 5GHz (up to 433 Mbps) Antenna: 5dBi high-gain, adjustable Interface: USB 2.0/3.0 Compatibility: Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP, Mac OS X 10.9–10.14 Use Case: Desktop rigs, mobile setups, site cabins, AV streaming, festival Wi-Fi boosts 💥 Why It Deserves Big Compliments This dongle is a proper plug-and-play upgrade. The dual-band support lets you switch between 2.4GHz for range and 5GHz for speed—perfect for streaming, gaming, or remote work. The 5dBi high-gain antenna is the standout feature: it locks onto signals better than compact dongles and reduces dead zones, especially in larger rooms or site cabins 2 . Setup is clean—Windows 10/11 auto-installs, and older systems can grab drivers from TP-Link’s site. It’s lightweight, portable, and ideal for rigs that need a fast, stable connection without internal Wi-Fi cards. ✅ Big Win Dual-band AC600 speeds—up to 433 Mbps on 5GHz High-gain antenna—better range and fewer dropouts Plug-and-play setup—no faff for most systems Compact and portable—easy to stash or travel with Secure WPA/WPA2 encryption—protects your connection Amazon’s Choice badge + 40,000+ ratings ⚠️ Minor Trade-Offs Mac support limited to OS X 10.14 and below No Wi-Fi 6 support—best for casual use, not heavy-duty gaming Bulky with antenna attached—may block nearby USB ports Realtek chipset may cause rare disconnections on some systems No Bluetooth—Wi-Fi only 🧍♂️ Personal Verdict Used this in a site cabin and AV rig—held signal, streamed clean, and stayed cool. For around £13, it’s a proper dongle that adds speed, reach, and cockpit-grade control to any desktop or mobile setup. If you want reliable Wi-Fi without the faff, this one’s a winner.

Terrible.
This thing is terrible, the default drivers won't let you connect to 5ghz, I had to download the proper ones on my phone and send them over to the pc. I'd spend more and get something better. Also disconnects loads and I've had to reinstall drivers loads of times.

Good for the Price
Purchased this as I had upgraded my broadband to a faster speed, and the technology in my old laptop was not able to reach faster speeds. After only having the adapter for less than 24 hours, this is my personal thoughts on it. My upgraded broadband speed is 320 mbps. My upload speed on my laptop through the adapter differs, but does not go above 240mbps. My phone connected to my router can reach speeds of over 300mbps. I'd recommend installing drivers from the enclosed CD or if not, download them from TP-Link website. I've had to disable drivers from installing automatically on my laptop to avoid conflicts. The device was working perfectly after installing the correct drivers from TP-Link. But when I checked for Windows updates, it downloaded a Realtek driver, automatically installed it replacing the TP-Link driver. After the Realtek driver was installed, it kept losing connection and I had to re-enter my Wi-Fi password each time it reconnected. I've rolled back the driver to TP-Link and no longer have an issue with disconnection. So for those reviewers who have said the TP-Link adapter loses connection regularly, are you using it with the Realtek driver installed and not the official TP-Link ones? The TP-Link is good for what I need it for, until I can afford to buy a new PC.

Aparelho funcionando nas duas frequências, 2ghz e 5ghz. A velocidade de download e upload não é igual quanto a conexão de um cabo de rede, mas a perda é bem pequena.
