Still fun to watch this wonderfully weird, perfectly 80s movie
I watched this a lot when I was a kid. Seemed to always be on cable. A wild, weird musical set in some alternate 50s or 60s. Everything looks like a set, even when they're outside in Chicago. The dialogue is straight out of a comic book and is often times downright hokey. But it's still a gem and a rogue classic from Walter Hill.Michael Pare is the weak link for me but I can't even imagine anyone else in the role at this point. Everyone else is pretty great: Diane Lane, Rick Moranis, Amy Madigan, Willem DeFoe...all chewing up the scenery. The video quality and sound and the packaging all seem top-notch though my tv is pretty old so anything Blu-Ray looks great.

GREAT ROCK CONCERT SCENES
The best part of this movie is the rock concert scenes with Diane Lane as the lead singer with her voice backed up by another singer to make the voice stronger... top quality songs and lyrics, lighting excellent, drummer and guitar players did excellent syncopations and movements on stage with Diane Lane who was 19 years old at the time and.... what a beautiful young women. The rest of the movie is a somewhat cliche'd kidnap, save the girl movie but again the movie jazzes itself up with a stellar cast and a 50's cars, motorcycle gang, and inner city backdrop. Enjoy the movie for what it tried to do successfully, and not so much where it fell short.

Loved the movie then; love it now:)
This movie is a cult favorite. It was a huge hit in the ‘80’s and I love it still. So happy I ordered it off Amazon. My kids watched it with me and they’re hooked!

Timeless movie!
I've loved this movie since I was a kid. Diane Lane was only 19 in this movie and I'd been a fan ever since. Has hints of the grimey 30s, the cool 50s, and the hip 80s. Such a good transfer and much higher picture quality since I remembered. An underrated classic!

Great bluray release highly recommended
I was very pleasantly suprised by this movie I loved the plot and the audio remastered looked great as well as the remastered video looks awesome for its age and has a whole other disc for extras which I like since it gives the disc with movie on it more room I have to say shout factory did great job on this release I highly recommend it

My Guilty Pleasure from the 80's.
Street's of Fire has everything for an 80's flashback. With Michael Pare, Diane Lane and Willem Dafoe from back in the day, Classic Cars and Motorcycles, Explosions, and a sadly Under-rated Soundtrack, It's my go to flick when nothing else will do.Love Streets of Fire. There's nothing more I can say.

First seen this movie while stationed in Germany back in 1984 and when I found it on Amazon I was so happy. Love the sound track. And Diane Lane! Yummy!! Lol.
