Great dryer for the salon (see details). Highly recommended
Short of getting a Dyson hair dryer, I really wasn't sure what to get for my salon work. The requirements were that it had to actually get hot, it had to have an easy-to-use cold shot button, it had to have controls that I wouldn't accidentally change the setting of through normal handling, and it should be well enough made that I not have to get a new dryer every 6-12 months. After getting Amazon search blindness, I finally settled on the HOT TOOLS Professional 1875W Turbo Ceramic Rainbow Hair Dryer.Sure, the rainbow accent matches my shears, but what really drew me to this dryer was the brand. Hot Tools has been around a while, and I would expect this item to be fairly durable. It has a 7 year warranty, but I haven't really seen what that claim process looks like. As it is, the unit is lightweight, but feels like it has good build quality. The soft-touch/sueded texture feels nice to the touch, but may not wear well over time. The positioning of the temp and speed controls is great. While the cold shot button is placed really well, I wish it were kind of concave, instead of convex. The air gets sufficiently hot, and dries hair quickly. Oh, and I LOVE the rainbow trim. The dryer overall is gorgeous. At 8' the cord is great for a salon station, though it may be a bit much for a small bathroom. As far as the value proposition of this dryer goes, I think it's quite good. The unit works well, has good controls, and seems to be built to last. Sure, there are cheaper hair dryers, but how many of those do you need to buy before you realize that you should have just bought a better, more expensive one, in the first place? Highly recommended

Yes! This one is great!
Yes! It's amazing! I bought the Wavy Talk professional hair dryer last year and it was never really great. Drying seemed slow, my hair would still be frizzy (I have sort of wavy hair). In the end, the handle would get really hot, which was not safe/good. I previously had a Conair dryer that blew really hard and would make my hair somewhat tangly because of its strength.I bought the black hot tools hair dryer and INSTANTLY knew it was an upgrade. My hair dried faster and it dries really straight to the point that I don't really need my flat iron anymore and my hair looks really smooth. This handle does feel a little thick for my hands and I sometimes accidentally pressed the buttons mid process, but it really does a great job and isn't super heavy. The long cord is also a bonus in terms of flexibility. I did get mine on sale for $43 and I hope you do to because it's worth it.

Excellent!!!!!
I had a conair for years and was looking to upgrade. I noticed a lot of salon professionals use this brand hot tools. This one caught my eye and so i started shopping around comparing prices. This is a 60$ hair dryer! And the sale price on amazon is the best price you can get it at right now. It is very light weight which is a big deal, the quality is insane! You can tell it is good quality!! I use for myBlowouts.

Quick dry time
The dryer blows a good amount and heats up good. But it also has cool settings. We have thick hair in our family and itβs quicker than most other dryers weβve purchased in the past.

Glam color
It has greatly reduced the drying time of my shoulder-length hair, although it is a little noisy.

Worth the money!! ππ―
I was only planning on spending around $30 on a hair dryer. But I wanted a lightweight & fast dryer. I truly love this hair dryer!! π I have really thick hair & it used to take me about 20 minutes to dry my hair with my old $20 hair dryer. Now it takes half the time! It does have a long cord. The comb extension is great. It has a little flexibility to it but also firm so its easy to work with. I think it's much better than the rigid long comb ones bc its harder to hold ur arm out far. The long not flexible comb extension I had kept breaking until there was no comb left. The ceramic does help fight frizz. It is quieter than my old dryer.ππΌ The wind power is strong. π¨ And the concentrators make it even better. It is very lightweight for a hair dryer. The color also goes well with John Frieda products. ππ I've had Hot Tools curling irons and I really liked them. I'm truly impressed with this Hot Tools dryer too. It's no longer such a chore & a long process to dry my hair. The time it takes me to get dressed has been decreased. Also, I don't get so hot & sweaty bc it's lightweight & I don't have to hold my arms up as long. If ur debating on buying this product bc of the price, spend the extra money. You'll be pleased with ur purchase like me! π―ππΌ

Poor longevity. Would recommend a researching and paying a little more for a better brand
Bought as a Christmas gift years ago. Quality isnβt the best. She had to replace it not to long ago. Good price compared to others but like a lot of things these days you get what you pay for. They make things to be thrown out these days.
