Perfect for fans of the dystopian settings of The Hunger Games and Divergent , the gripping second installment of the Slated trilogy is a riveting psychological thriller set in a future where violent teens have their memory erased as an alternative to jail. When Kyla was slated, her memory was erased for good. Except it wasnโt. Not completely. She remembers years of working with Antigovernment Terrorists. She remembers acts of violence against the Lorders. But perhaps most importantโshe remembers Ben. If heโs alive, Kylaโs about to play a dangerous game between the Lorders and the AGT. Then again, every move in her new life is a gamble. Review: Loved this book so much! - I have read countless books, and stories. So far this trilogy is in my top 5 favorites. I woke up at 3:00am and couldnโt go back to sleep. I reached for my โgo toโ sleeping aid AKA the current book Iโm reading, which always helps me fall asleep. It is now 7:00am and I just finished it! I could not put this book down. This story has a fantastic, realistic, well thought out plot. It is captivating, intense, and emotional. I love the characters and enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them grow and change. The writing is very good, and flows nicely. Overall this is a very good book! Review: A strong 5 star book all around - author nailed it! - Terry is writing this series the way a series should be written. There's a great overarching storyline that is pulling you through and several smaller stories within that are in each book. She wraps up all the stories within nicely. This book is a true page turner and the author does a fantastic job of putting you inside Kyla's head. You go through their story from her perspective and can really feel her struggles with the memories. This is such an underrated book and I really wish more people knew about it. There's a lot going on but they all intertwine and her reactions to everything are realistic but not predictable. All in all I give this book a very strong 5 stars, as a stand-alone and as a continuation in a series. She nailed it!

Awesome read
The story was good, I had a hard time putting down the book, I can't wait for the next one in April! I started reading this series due to my tween wanting to read them and I like to read them first when not sure if she should due to her age. She will be allowed to read this one and I'm sure she will really like it. It keeps you guessing the whole way through.

Great book
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS I love how this book is very captivating right from before it began. "Slated" left so many unanswered questions that were intriguingly unraveled throughout the book. The connection that Teri creates with the reader and Kyla is incredible. You could feel all of her emotions, whether they were confusion, anger, happiness, or sadness. With her memories slowly revealing themselves, and other people's sides of the story, it was up to Kyla to figure out her past all by herself. Teri's writing skills are indescribable. She is excellent because she knows how to keep the reader from turning the pages.

As good as part 1
I recommend this as a good and gripping 'fast-food' trilogy. It isn't high literature - of which I am no big fan anyway - but fun to read, well-planned, with a nicely developed background and interesting characters. The nice thing about it is that since books 2 and 3 are integral parts of the story here they don't feel like somewhat artificial add-ons like is the case with similar projects sometimes. The Maze Runner or the Testing trilogies come to mind. As to the heroine - she is developing too over the course of the books. In book 1 she started out as a blank. Book 2 finds her on a quest for answers - and the more she discovers the more the blanks get filled and the more interesting she becomes. Very fitting fitting with the base theme of the trilogy in my opinion.

WHAT A SURPRISE
If I'm honest I only picked this book up because I wanted something quick to get into to pass the time I had to spend travelling. Having been pretty underwhelmed by the first book of the series Slated I didn't really have much loyalty to the series' characters when beginning this one; I really only started it because I couldn't find a better book. I feel that I need to eat my words and previous expectations right now however as this book was awesome! I've never felt such a different in quality between books in a series and I really got caught up in this plot as it was excellent, on par with the best dystopians out there like Divergent. The main problem I found with Slated was that it felt designed just to introduce you to characters and settings there was no explosive plot or tender moments it just established a society and teases at what is to come. This book however starts running and never slows down, the complete opposite of Slated. I met many new characters I loved and was really drawn into the action. Kyla is placed in a very unique position in this book and is torn in many different was, annoyingly all these ways have a romantic tension associated with them, but this book doesn't really stray into the sickly teen romance the first became it stays firmly grounded in dystopian/action/thriller territory. I would rate it as; โ โ โ โ โ I did debate whilst reading if this book deserved 5 stars when its predecessor was so much of a let down but then my heart was ripped out by something I adored and I can't wait to see where things are taken in the third book after this.

This book "FRACTURED" me!! (No spoilers)
This book picks up exactly from the ending of the first book without any drags. Here, Kyla is still uncertain about her past, her identity and the people whom she should trust. She meets a person from her past memories and continues on her journey under his guidance with problems lurking every corner. Coming to my review, I don't have enough words to describe how good and well-written the book is. The book's fast-paced, has so many thrills that will make your mouth open. Kyla changes a lot from the beginning of the book till the end. I liked Nico's character a lot and found it interesting. Katran was also good. One sentence, "Get ready to get into a rollercoaster full of thrill, suspence, action, high-stake loyalties and a lot of goosebumps!"
