Help your child with ADHD thrive. Mindfulness for Kids with ADHD offers fun and accessible mindfulness exercises designed to help kids with ADHD successfully navigate all the areas of life—from making friends and doing well in school to establishing healthy habits and limiting screen time. As a parent, you know that attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can make the normal developmental tasks of childhood more difficult to accomplish in numerous ways. These tasks include: making friends, doing well in school, organizing belongings and schoolwork, identifying and managing feelings, developing a positive self image, getting along with family members, following rules, doing chores, establishing a healthy sleep pattern, eating a healthy diet, and making good choices about exercise and use of screen time. The activities in this easy-to-use workbook will help your child develop self-awareness and self-reflection—two skills that kids with ADHD typically need extra help with. The book also illustrates and teaches the process of setting intention and using specific mindfulness skills to identify and improve feelings, self-image, behavior, stress level, concentration, hyperactivity, and relationships. If you’re a parent of a child with ADHD, you may feel conflicted about the best treatment options available. Whether used alone or in conjunction with therapy, this powerful workbook provides real skills your child can use every day to improve their quality of life and help them enjoy being a kid! Grade school age - not teens
Defintiely geared towards gradschool, not teens, but some good activities to help the child and parent look at what poses challenges and ways to address them.

Activity/workbook for kids w ADHD...
I like that this book has activities that help kids to focus, but I (incorrectly) assumed it would also discuss general ideas, ways to encourage kids that are struggling with ADHD, and that’s not at all what this book is.

A true instant helping book
I am a licensed clinical social worker who ordered this book to help me in the treatment of children with attention deficit disorder. I found this book to be extremely comprehensive and easy to use. I especially liked the ability to use the book both in session and as homework for my clients. The author included 14 downloadable audio meditations that were soothing and a pleasant addition to the book. In treating Adults I am often reminded of the difficulties they experienced as children maintaining focus, making friends and learning. This book helps the future generations to find their inner peace, obtain skills to focus and reduce impulsive behaviors. My favorite section is on “Using screen time in a healthy way”. Technology is often used ineffectively and has limited social interactions with children suffering from ADHD. This book covers a broad range of essential topics including healthy choices, academics and self-care. This book talks directly to the needs of the children I love this book and so will you. -Gregory Page LCSW
