Long lasting + fit in my ily machine
Lost all but 2 and the two I have have lasted more than 2 years. Can come completely apart but pop back easily too to make it easy to clean.

Poorly made
These leak badly around lid (they only push on, not screw). Your counter will be covered with water when these lift up. Not useable. Mine just went in the trash after trying some different things for 2 weeks.

Good enough
Buy metal ones if possible but good for the price

These are a must!
These are must if you're going to Illy ! Can’t figure out how some say they don’t work unless they’re using them on the wrong machine or not using a “tamper” to pack fine grounds a bit. It’s a easy as packing with a fingertip to “tamper”.UPDATE! I'm going to retract this "Refillable Pods" positive review. Here's why:The Illy Y3.3 leaks from underneath the machine when using these particular "refillable" pods. Not "Illy" branded periespresso pods. I believe it has something to do with draining difficulty through these disposable pods. I assume it was the machine and Amazon was kind enough to send me a new one FAST! As this is not a cheap habit everyone is willing to endure. And "low and behold", it happened again. two machines?..... Really! My diagnostic mind figured it out eventually. I just assumed and was reassured these "refillable pods" would work with these machines. It may work for some people, but it got a seemingly innocent "Illy machine" sent back and wasted a lot of my time.

Does not work as expected, not recommended
I was hopeful yet skeptical that these reusable pods would work. Unfortunately, they do not work as you might expect. There is no RFID tag inside the capsule to tell the machine what program and drink size to use, so there is no pre-infusion with the espresso capsules and it tries to dispense a large cup. You will need to stop the machine manually. The second, and Larger problem is that there is no way for these capsules to build up any pressure so you end up With a drink that is more of a drip coffee strength instead of espresso. Referencing my photo above, both shots were made on a illy iperespresso Y3 machine. The shot on the left was made using a red Illy classico espresso pod. Shot on the right was made using illy Classico roast espresso beans, ground in my coffee grinder to an espresso setting, Then I filled up these capsules as full as possible with a light tamp. The results are obvious. Both shots were drinkable, but the one on the left from the actual Illy pod was the rich Espresso that I was expecting, whereas the one on the right was more of a watered down drip coffee.Due to these issues, I do not recommend this product. Good idea, but there are too many technical issues to overcome

Not very satisfactory
It just doesn’t work as well as the prefilled capsules. The water overflows to the chamber

Works fine, Needs a 30mm tamper
Once I purchased the 30mm tamper I was able to fill and compress the fine espresso grind in the capsule.. The automatic feature of the Illy machine needs to be manually operated as this capsule allows water to flow through. It took me a while to learn how to use this for my home roasted beans and grind.

Not quite as good as Illy capsules, but good enough after some experimentation
These are similar to Illy's iperesspresso capsules for individual servings of espresso and longo. These are NOT similar to Illy's single-serve coffee capsules. I happen to have a machine that can make all three types, and performed a side-by-side comparison of the name-brand capsules against these refillable ones and some others. After some experimentation, I got the best espresso out of these capsules by also using a tamper. I also got a decent longo, but I failed to get a great cup of regular coffee using these particular refillable capsules. There are others with a different design that are similar to Illy's coffee capsules. Experiment with how you fill the capsules, and make sure you use "espresso-ground" coffee. You won't get good expresso by packing regular-grind coffee into these capsules.
