Esschert Design Copper Plated Dibber

After planting some crocus this fall, I'll be using this around Halloween for Vampire control. I also have an abs one for Zombies (won't rust or rot if left in the goo). Needless to say, I'm ready for any monsters. Although, Ghost laugh at my attempts to prod them....

Well made, easy to use, great product!

Unfortunately this is NOT a quality item. You'll be tempted by the picture, but the reality is this is a poorly-designed item matched by poor assembly. "Quality" means: (1) the T-handle should be firmly attached to the shaft so it won't rotate; (2) the entire piece should be thick, clearly designed to last many years; (3) the metal sheath is firmly attached. The Esschert doesn't match any of the 3 criteria. (1) The T-handle is not firmly affixed to the shaft, meaning as you turn it in the process of making your hole, the "T" will twist but the dibber will not. (2) The shaft narrows as it comes into the handle, and there was a crack in the wood shaft as it matched up to the sheath. (3) The nails were not fully punched in, meaning they'll catch on things in your shed or in the garden. If you want quality, go for this one: "Bosmere R462KS Kent & Stowe Classic Stainless Steel Dibber"

It’s my most used garden tool. I switched to a back to eden method of gardening and this tool makes that so much more efficient. I highly reccomend

This product is really nice but I notice that it has a strange amount of variation for a mass-produced product. Various images over the web show different shades of stain on the wood handle, ranging from light colored to very dark, and the metal portion seems to vary on its engraved meter starting at 2" (like in the photo on this listing) or going all the way down near the tip starting at 1/4". I also notice a slight quality difference in how loose the rivets are from photo to photo. I grabbed this item because I saw another customer ended up with one with the meter going down to 1/4", which was what I was looking for, despite the photo on the listing being different. The product I got was a completely different mix. The meter starts at 1", the handle was a moderately dark stain, and I had loose-ish rivets. The rivets are easy to fix by hammering them in tighter, but the metal still does slip a tiny bit and rattle around which makes it feel less sturdy, however it should still hold up fine so this is merely a perception issue. All in all, while I was disappointed in not getting the 1/4" meter, I also wasn't very hopeful for it. The item I did receive is a decent quality and very useable, and it also looks nice sitting with my garden tools.

I ordered this to have water by my bed that is healthy. Really beautiful container. All copper. No weird metals or welds. Packaging is lovely with all sorts of information about the benefits of copper. Arrived sooner than I expected.

To top t of the handle just fell off right out of the box had to glue it back together.

Seem to be well constructed, and looks great hanging in my greenhouse.
