The small but feisty fan-favorite Autobot takes center stage in this "Transformers" spinoff/prequel set in the late '80s, as a damaged Bumblebee (voiced by Dylan O'Brien) takes refuge in a Southern California junkyard... and finds a friend and protector in unhappy teen Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld). She may not be enough, between an implacable government agent (John Cena) and a faction of Decepticons weary of hiding. With Pamela Adlon and the voices of Angela Bassett, Justin Theroux. 113 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Review: Best Transformers Movie!!! - Love this movie!!! It looks and sounds great and it does feel like a movie from the 80's/90's. It features a female lead but the movie isn't preachy and does not portray her as someone who is "anything a boy can do, I can do" kind of character. It's fun for adults and wholesome enough for young kids (something I can't say for the Shia Lebouf movies) The 4k disc also came with a slipcase which I am pleasantly surprised about when you consider how late I bought this movie. Review: Don't You Forget About Me - After having missed the last Transformers movie I knew I was not going to miss this one. And I am more than glad to have not missed it. Depending on whom you ask, some refer to this movie as a reboot and others as a prequel. I would say it is a reboot, but I recall the events of the previous film that prove otherwise. In it, there is a scene that shows Bumblebee was a decorated member of the Transformers, one of their best that fought for centuries on behalf of humans who knew about the Transformers, yet Bumblebee had no memory of those events until he had the sense beat back into him as well as regaining his voice. This film not only shows how Bumblebee lost his voice and memory but at the same time proving his mettle to another human being with troubles like him. That someone is Charlie Watson, a girl from 1987 California. She is her own person who though lives her life with her own style of clothes, music, and interests she is not exactly happy. In fact, she is still mourning the loss of someone close to her and as she approaches her 18th birthday, she feels alone. But she gets the surprise of her life, of anyone’s life when the old car she gets for her birthday comes to life. It is Bumblebee having been damaged but having transformed into a vehicle as Charlie inadvertently reactivates him. Doing her best to repair him and attempting to communicate with him, he becomes something more than just her car but her best friend. All this while Bumblebee having lost his memories of what brought him to Earth leads to several days of nice moments leading to the eventual revelation of what sent him to Earth. Basically, this movie has the Autobots having lost Cybertron to the Decepticons and in their loss have moved to a new base of operations, the planet Earth. Bumblebee was given instructions to set up a rendezvous on Earth, but he was attacked by Decepticons and is still hunted down by a pair of them out to stop him. Charlie ends up being caught in the middle of this fight but there is no fear in this young woman as she is ready and raring to fight for her new friend. After the previous Transformers films, this one is different being more grounded and less of an extravaganza. But that is what happens when you replace Michael Bay. Still, this is not simply good it is special. I heard someone went so far as to say that this is the perfect 1980s movie for the 2010s. And I can see it in the same way movies like E.T., Explorers, and Flight of the Navigator in that this movie follows in the same spirit of kids coming together in a sci-fi adventure that brings warmth and hope as the best of humanity meets the best of an alien civilization. I left the theater feeling great after watching this movie, but not just for the story but everything in it. I only saw Hailee Steinfeld in one movie, the True Grit remake, but this proved that she is a great actress that she can portray so much warmth with a CGI character as if it were a real being. You feel the love and I could watch it over and over again and not believe otherwise. The action was great as always as well as the nice nods to the previous, or I should say eventual movies. Peter Cullen’s role is more of a cameo but hearing him as Optimus Prime always gives me hope. An awesome movie like the rest of the films in this franchise, I was definitely happy that I did not miss this one. I love that the movie was filmed in IMAX, it is more than deserved and I am happy to get that in its 4K Blu-ray release. The special features were nice, I loved the deleted scenes! It definitely added more depth with Charlie and other characters. The digital copy is more than appreciated. Bring on more movies Paramount! Transformers are here to stay.

Great film! Beautiful and powerful origin story of Bumblebee. Epically and well done.
Loved this film! Dislike how ones let others’ opinions drive their film choices. The Transformers Saga is an amazing one. I love all five installments and Bumblebee. My advice to young people and just people in general, with all types of challenges, which allow ones to let others opinions choose what you deem an amazing film or franchise. My advice is DON’T! Don’t! Do Not! I still run into ones saying my friend doesn’t like the film so I am to leave it alone. I heard bad stuff about this one, I am going to wait to that comes out on Digital. It makes me angry. That friend got to see it and generate his or her opinion, you should be able to do the same. Some motion pictures, books, chapters of motion pictures or book series your friends and family like you might not like or enjoy and vice versa. The only opinion that should influence your film, storyline or chapter decisions is your own. Bumblebee and The Original Michael Bay Directed Films are amazing to me. Again, that is my opinion. I loved The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films and loved all three Bad Boys films, but that’s me. Watch at your own discretion and generate your own opinion based on your beliefs, morals, ethics and tastes. Everyone has that right. Don’t put too much emphasis on what others think, whether it’s a film, a politician, a novel choice or anything. People make comments based what they know and vice versa, don’t let their comments become your own. Everyone has different tastes, opinions and beliefs. And some beliefs are just silly and outrageous or just lacks A certain amount of intelligence. Everyone is different! Make decisions based on your beliefs, morals and ethics and tastes and far as in film, television and novels and comic books, what you enjoy, not just what others enjoy. This is the best review I could give you. This should take you guys and gals further than just this film alone. Happy film, series, book, and life opportunities hunting!

Bumblebee in 4K - Top

Bumblebee Blu Ray
I've long considered Transformers 2 and 3 two of the worst films of all time so I was VERY reluctant to watch Bumblebee. I am very very glad that I did. This film is charming, exciting, touching and hilarious. This is exactly the film I would have watched 100 times over as a kid. Honestly it is a pure joy with a likeable cast, brilliant soundtrack and exciting action scenes that thankfully avoid Bayhem (That opening scene is what should have got in 2007) The film is presented widescreen with Dolby Atmos sound and this is showcase stuff - it looks and sounds UNBELIEVABLE on Blu Ray. It also comes with a slipcover. Features add up to approximately 1 hour and the film features English Audio, English SDH and English subtitles.
