Rubens Barn Dolls Original Doll, Ida

We purchased this doll for my elderly Mum who has Alzheimers. Her Xmas gift. I cannot believe the difference this has made to my mums life these last few days. She constantly smiles and nurses the doll. It also gives us a form of connection when we are sat together. So far it’s been an ideal gift. With mum having Alzheimers we monitored mum to ensure it didn’t stress her thinking the doll was a real baby. Didn’t want a lifelike doll. The quality is excellent, and the fact the doll is washable is a bonus. Mum comments on how lovely the dolls face is. And best of all Mum is always smiling. Just a small point to make. The doll didn’t come dressed in the outfit in the picture. This one is in a purple dress with a pink heart on the front. Still sweet none the less.

This doll is just lovely! We have a Rubens kid for 2 yr old and this is a present for my 5 yr old. Beautiful and soft and so huggable. She has come in a different dress to what was pictured which is disappointing. She still has the magic that all Rubens dolls come with!!

Please note the doll u get is the same doll but she is not wearing this dress , dress she comes in is purple velour and no where as near as nice as dress pictured. I have had to buy new nicer outfit, was offered 5 euros back which is not even £5, doesn’t even cover cost of outfit. U will not get what is in tHe picture

Questa bambola e’ semplicemente Stupenda. E' grande, perfetta per bambine dai 4 anni. Fatta a mano con cotone biologico certificato. La regalerò alla mia bambina che l'ha scelta in foto tra tante. E' facile farle anche nuovi vestitini o prenderne già fatti (va bene la taglia 6-9 mesi). non è una bambola, ma La bambola con cui inventare mille storie e affrontare mille avventure. Totalmente lavabile a 30 gradi in lavatrice. La consiglio

I bought this doll for my elderly mother who really seems to like it. You can understand why - both the doll and the clothes are well made and durable, she has a cute face and is s just so tactile. Once Amazon delivered her to my house, it was a few days before I took her to my mother - it didn't seem right to just squash her back into the box, so she's been sitting on my bed.
