I can use my luggage again!
If I could give this more stars I would. The customer service was awesome and they sent me a replacement after I bought the wrong zipper kit. Shout out to Ray and Jonathan for sending me the replacement and getting back to me promptly. While traveling, one of the airport attendants must have ripped off my zipper while in transit, because after 2 layovers from Copenhagen to Osaka, my luggage was missing a zipper. Now I could’ve replaced my luggage because of the missing zipper, but I’ve grown attached to my luggage since it’s gone to A LOT of places with me and has a ton of cool stickers on it. I tried another zipper kit, but it didn’t work, plus it was a bit painful to try to put together. Now this, THIS, this is it. It was easy and quick. Now I don’t have to look for a replacement. For those wondering, why not just use the 1 measly zipper that was still attached? Well, when you like to buy souvenirs, you pack your bad boy to the brim where it looks like it needs a girdle to stay together. Having the second zipper was peace of mind that my luggage wouldn’t implode from the things I packed. I will note, sometimes the teeth do not fully connect, but I don’t think it’s the products fault. Through various travels, the teeth of the zipper have become crooked or have snags of thread between them, so I believe this causes the zipper to go over the teeth and not fully close them. I found you just have to finagle it a bit and it’s good to go. Love the product, it works and the customer service is awesome.

Perfect fit for Columbia winter jacket
Spent $30 - $40 on other pulls trying to replace on a Columbia winter jacket so I could donate to men’s mission. Jacket is like new otherwise. Bought this fixnzip and it worked perfectly. Not in description but you can attach this so that the knob is on the inside for invisible zipper. The directions tell you how to remove pull so that it can be moved to the other side of zipper slide. My only complaint is that pull can be difficult zipping up jacket as it hits adjustment knob when pulling up zipper. Unzips without any resistance. Moving pull to other side of zipper slide allows you to zip up jacket more easily as knob is not in the way (it is now inside). I may put a heavier pull tab on this as the loop on the included pull is thin. Not sure how long that will hold up with wear - the reason I had to replace the original zipper pull. Zipper slide assembly is solid and well built and should last the remainder of the life of the jacket.

Saved My Life.
I got to the beach for the second time that day and had trouble zipping up my suit. A hard tug would do it I gathered. BAM! In my hands I had the cord and zipper to my suit. Two tears fell from my eyes and my body to its knees. Hysterical I drove home having to stop four times on the way to wipe away tears. Google would save me I thought. I sifted through every forum, every webpage that arose and saw the demo for the FixnZip. Such an ingenious concept I thought whilst a smile came across my face. Amazon, thank the almighty lord, had this contraption available for 2-day shipping. BANG! Order placed. Good timing too since the surf was going to be good on the day of its supposed arrival. Wednesday, jitters filed my body while I awaited the order. Checking my e-mail as I do most days, I saw " PARCEL FOR ANDRES VANEGAS." Chills flowed down my spine and a shudder spread over my body. I'd seen the e-mail many times before. At university. Three hundred miles away. While my school does have a forwarding service it would definitely not be delivered in the timeframe which my expected savior was needed. Take a guess at what I did. You are damn right. 1-day shipping. WHAM! Online-shopping's greatest invention. This bad-boy had a job to do. Three weeks of surfing depended on this product and I was looking for something else to blame besides my 12-inch biceps for the lack of surfing. Mother did not see the logic in my plan. "The suit has a warranty for a year," she proclaimed, "Go to the shop and the company will replace it." I chuckled. Spring surf could not be left in the hands of corporate America. Hell, they are the bastards that decided their profit margins could not suffer the extra 13 cents for a metal zipper and used the cheaper plastic one. Screw you O'Neill. Regardless, it would only be a day to find out whether I would be waiting three weeks for a new suit or shelling out $100 USD for a brand new suit. Thursday, the day of truth. Judgement day. After an exhausting day of sitting through an amateur music video, sipping a cheap whisky at 11 in the morning and having to teach a younger cousin parallel parking I arrived at home. In the shoe room of my home sat a small box with the infamous AMAZON tape. Hustling to the door, I took the box up into my arms and felt its warmth. My key was thrust into the keyhole and opened seamlessly, a burst of energy ran through me like a marathon runner feels upon seeing the finish line. The door swung open. After one step into my home I bit into the box and ripped open the flaps of the box and found the small plastic bag which at that moment was essentially gold. And within this gold bag were my diamonds. You might be saying, this kid must be insane, he is comparing a 10 dollar zipper fix to diamonds. My response is yes. I was probably a bit crazy for this moment in my life. But what surfer wouldn't be. Landlocked at school for seven months out of the year, the closest shore was two hours away. An hour and a half if you were willing to risk a reckless endangerment charge. Now you understand my struggle. My diamonds reflected the light so brilliantly I dropped the bag upon pulling it out of the box. Once again, my knees dropped to the floor and tears fell from my eyes again. But this time, they were tears of joy. I took the bag up in my hand and brought it over to the damaged wetsuit and laid it atop it. Carefully reading the instructions and recalling the demo video the concept seemed so simple again. Removing the small object from the bag, I loosened the screw, placed it on the rails of the unzipped teeth which begged for companionship, and then proceeded to tighten the screw. If it were not for my impressive cardiovascular system I may have syncopated that second. Nonetheless, as a bull rider does atop an innocent but enraged bull I gripped the zipper. Pulling upwards I heard a beautiful noise. ZZZZZIPPPPPPPP. More tears. I am sure at that moment one hundred children were conceived within a five mile radius of my home at that exact moment. Up and down, up and down. Flawlessly bring together and bringing apart the teeth as if they were never apart. Amazing product. Saved me a boat load of cash and time. Keep making these things. I will probably keep the other incase this ever happens with any of my other suits.

Excellent product with excellent support1
CHECK YOUR SIZING!!! I need to start my review with this because I did not do my due diligence and assumed that this zipper repair kit follows the standard sizing but it's not a standard zipper clasp. This clasp is better! Let's start out with the pros! 1. It does not require you to cut, break or tear out any pieces of your current zipper. 2. It doesn't clip in or un-clip by bending anything. It has a thumb screw. This makes it easy to reuse the repair clasp in the event that your garments zipper ever sustains further damage or you simply decide to throw it out. 3. It's designed to repair multiple styles of zipper types. Is it perfect? No, it has some cons, minimal in my opinion but given that I experienced them during my use i feel its best to keep you informed. 1. Check your sizing. I was researching SO MANY different variants of repair clasps that I started to see commonalities in sizing and became complacent in assuming I 'knew' what size I needed without checking the guide first. This clasp is designed to fit a range of tracks and you need to check your sizing. 2. The kit came with pieces that I had no idea what they were for. It had to research what exactly they were for as the instructions were pretty basic and made no reference to their intent. 3. Size? This repair clasp is a little on the larger side. It's due to the unique deign of the product. I would imagine this being better suited for more industrial type applications. (jackets, sleeping bags, purses, tents) etc... I would not be repairing your pants pull zipper or your pretty dainty garments with this style. (Do you want a pull string on your fly or a pull ring?) :D Experience with the company has been nothing short of outstanding. I ordered a large repair kit for my alpine stars jacket that i so dearly love. Ive had that jacket for 20 years and will wear it for the rest of my life! After trying desperately to fix the zipper that broke without destroying it further, I became frustrated in how this clasp just would not stay on. After reaching out to the company they informed me i had the wrong size and offered to immediately ship the right one out. I took them up on the offer but because I was dying to wear my jacket on a ride coming up in two days time, I ordered a second set from amazon (love that speedy shipping!). Both units arrived on the same day and before my ride! As pleased as I was with the service I kept the extra one I bought from amazon. Now I have a backup if a zipper breaks on a pocket or something. All in all, I have been very impressed with the build quality this has. My alpine stars jacket from 20 years ago still looks perfect and this zipper clasp and restored it to perfection! Time to ride! GTG!

Easily fix your zippers
This is the fourth or fifth zipper repair that I have tried. I was surprised how easy it was to install and that it worked on first try. The others I tried never worked. The only thing bad that I can say is that it’s a little bit on the bulky side. It was installed on a nylon zipper size 5. Sizing is very important.

Paint washed off before I even got to use it.
I got this for a carhartt thermal sweatshirt and the little tab that hold the pull broke of the ykk zipper. The shweatshirt is otherwise fine. Not quite worth taking to a taylor to fix the zipper for $40, and I really didn't want to spend the time trying to repair myself. So I installed this thing. It works perfectly fine, so I went ahead and washed the sweatshirt so I could wear it again. The whole thing came apart in the wash, and all the paint came off it as well. So I guess you are supposed to remove this every time you wash? I will continue to use it for now, and the paint is already washed off, I will trying tightening it down all the way before the next wash, but if you want to keep the color you absolutly need to remove it before you wash your cloths. I got the black brass look because the factory one was brass and this was the closest replacement. Now it's just chrome colored, which isn't ideal but it will work. So the quality could be better, as it is not exactly cheap. You are probably better off replacing with a real zipper, but that can be difficult.

Nice design, slow customer support
Received it - looked very promising. Interesting design. Looks straight forward. But… I attached it fairly easily, but am having trouble with it once it zips halfway up. I’m guessing that there may be some hints and advice that would remedy this issue, so I called the customer service number. It went to a voicemail that said someone would call me back. That was 2 months ago - no call back. I was really hoping this zipper would fix my issue and I really wanted to like it. But for as much as it seems like this company really wants to portray itself as very customer friendly with excellent support, my experience is that there is no support. Overall: promising design = 4 stars; customer support = 0 stars 2 stars is all they get (and that’s giving them the benefit of the doubt that they have advice that will make the darn thing function). REVISED: I received helpful communications from the company and they were apologetic about the lapse in communication. Unfortunately, the product may not be suitable for the issue I was having. But it does seem well designed.

I wasn't sure what I was doing
I watched the instructional videos on the website a couple of times. I thought I was ready. But it was too hard. The next day I contacted the owner and he was SUPER HELPFUL. He told me exactly what to do. That afternoon he called me back to see if I had any additional problems. I told him that I was able to put the zipper on but when I pulled, the part behind the zipper didn't stay closed. He told me exactly what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. He stayed on the phone just in case I couldn't do it. I got tired and told him that I was going to continue the next day. I figured out what was going on. First, my fingers are short and fat so I could not fit them in the precise location. Second, I realize that I didn't have the strength to press the part hard enough and that was why the zipper was opening after I went through the section. I watched the video one more time and I decided: ** to use a pair of players to press and pull. It with was awesome. First try, and the problem was solved. I have a queen size air bed by the numbers. I had the bright idea to take the mattress apart so I could wash it. It was easy. Open the zipper that goes around the mattress 360○ and throw it in the washer. After it was washed and dried, putting it back on was an adventure. Finally, I put it back on and when I tried to zip it, the zipper broke. The cost to replace the zipper that big was out of this earth. I got worried and started looking at zippers. I figured that if absolutely necessary, I would just saw the new zipper by hand, knowing full well that if I did that myself, it would not last. Anyway, j was determined to replace the zipper. When I was looking at zippers, I ran into this little gadget for about $6+ dollars. I looked at the reviews on several websites. Finally, when i felt burnt out from the research, I decided to order it. The owner called me 2 days later to follow up with me. Wow!! This owner really cares. I told him that the center part was too small for my big fat fingers to fit and that it required more strength than I had (keep in mind that I'm a woman and past my 60s). I told him what I did to get it done and he mentioned that he was going to review the design of this item so it was easier to use. I have to say that I've never met a business owner who took interest about a customer's experience for an item that cost $6+ dollars. And he kept doing follow ups, to make sure I installed correctly, and that I was happy with his product. The product gets 99 stars (out of 5) The company's customer service gets 1000 stars. An amazing experience, indeed. Thank you Mr. Owner for all your help. Now we know that even a senior citizen/grandma can put this zipper on a huge mattress. If I can do it, anyone can do it too!!!

Klasse! 5 von 5 Sternen, 100% Empfehlung!
