Red Rock Outdoor Gear - Ghillie Suit

This gillie suit is awsome, great for airsoft or paint ball, i got the acu coulor and i find that it hides me in most enviroments, the material is very light weight and breatheble and it is comfortable over the top of chest rigs and pouches ect, i purchased the medium large and i am 165 cm tall and i have a skinny build so i find this ghillie suit a bit baggy however the suit is very adjustable with elastic bands on the torso part and the sleves and troursers so i can fit it, and i expected this from the suit, i am very pleased with the quality and durability of this suit. also when you first by it, the strands are tangled together so it may Look abit un impresive at first but you can just spend some time untangilling it to make it look just like the picture and also the strands fall out for the first few days of use but this is a very minor issue and does not affect the ghilie suit at all because they stop falling out and only a few fall out. Overall i am really pleased with this suit and highly recomend it, the postage was fast and it was really simple to order all the way to new zealand.

The suit itself is perfect. Initially upon taking it out of the package I was a little concerned at how bare it looked in patches... although VERY time consuming by fluffing it one layer at a time starting at the bottom & working my way up it looked awesome! The first two times it was worn he seemed to leave a trail of strings but that must have been "extras" because it no longer seems to be a problem and there is no visible area they came from. Getting the suit back in the bag it came in is unlikely to ever be feasible no matter how much it is "stuffed" in... plan to use the bag for something else-- maybe to carry lunch? LOL I'm not sure what to think about the gun cover piece... basically it is a straight piece with strings sewn on & a few elastic loops. It doesn't seem to be much of a camouflage but maybe if it was kind of wrapped & the loops were used to secure it then it would be?? Don't know & it was just an extra thing received for us so not worried about it.

When you first open this up and take it out of the carry bag it's matted and looks like crap, don't fret. Put it on a couple hangars and take about 10 minutes to detangle the bunched up threads. Once you do this, it thickens up quite a bit. I put this on, stood against a evergreen tree outside my friends apartment and then called him and told him to come outside. He walked out, with his phone to his ear, looked right at me and turned down the sidewalk and keep walking. He asked on the phone, where are you dude, I barked at him and scared the hell out of him. He swears he had no idea I was standing that close to him near the tree...so I think it works pretty well. The pieces include a carrying bag, head piece mounts on a boonie style jungle hat (kind of cheap, but it works), chest piece (wears like a jacket with button snaps, leggings, with drawstring at waist and elastic at feet and a rifle sleeve (kind of) I bought this for a couple reasons; hunting camouflage and for when SHTF and I need disappear into the wilds

My son (14 yo) was so excited to get this suit to go paintballing in. I'm really only writing this review to give sizing advice because I always love it when people give you an idea of their build and the size they got. My son is 14, 5'11" and 145 lbs. Tall and thin! We ordered the Medium/Large and it fits him great. The pant lenth, with no shoes, almost hits the floor. Maybe an inch off. The waist is adjustable so it fits him great. If you have a larger waist, it would still fit. The top is great as well. A little larger on him than the pants, but works perfectly. Great suit!

Did a great job as a Halloween costume. For the pants the sinch isn’t strong enough so it starts letting out as soon as you start walking. Easy fix just wear a belt but it would be nice if they had a stronger way to pull tight at the waist that held. The whole outfit would do fine for ordinary adventures where you go to a location and hunker down. I would not try to move about a lot getting up and down as each time you will leave behind numerous strands. But Again consider what you are buying. If you want heavy durability in brush and other conditions that will pull st the material spend the $150-$200 to get the right outfit. But if your pretty much getting to location and setting in to wait unseen this is great and at a bargain price.

Note: I use this suit for airsoft. Can't say anything about hunting. Pros: -Arrived two days before scheduled delivery date -Fit me perfectly (I am 6'6") -Mosquito Netting over face is a huge plus as I am often lying for long periods of time in a marsh waiting for a target -Colors are a great mix for my environment -People walk right past me on a regular basis Cons: -Included carrying case is too small -The shag is a little sparse -The shag is all clotted and tangled when it arrives -The drawstring on the pants does not stay tight. When crawling prone, I tend to lose my pants. All in all, this was a great buy. The quality of the suit base-layer is not the best, but it is breathable (a big plus imo). The shag is sewn on rather than tied which leads to threads being pulled out just about anytime you try to remove a twig that is stuck to you. I would recommend this to a friend.

Most of the time you get what you pay for. Some of you will be reluctant because it’s cheap. DO NOT HESITATE! Just look at my photo I added. I truly believe this will work great. I don’t have much experience with Ghillie suits, but it looks good to me. I will admit it came with all the yarn pieces a little tangled, but it was very easy to untangle. All you do is run your fingers through it some and it comes right out. Some of the yarn pieces are sewn in a loop. This may be on purpose or by accident, but either way it will allow me to put some leaves and other things from my surroundings in it. The jacket and pants are very thin and not hot. This is honestly an excellent product.

Like everyone has been saying, it is a great piece of equipment once you take the time to brush it out. I hung mine up by a coat hanger and worked from the bottom up. Using mostly just my fingers to comb the bunched up strings apart. Takes a while but once you are done it looks just like the pictures. The fit is baggy but if you plan on wearing warm clothes underneath then itll fit over top most gear. It has a few slits to let you access your jacket pockets if needed. I dont know how functional they are but at least they were thinking.

Früher hatten wir dafür schlicht einen Gefreiten, der negativ aufgefallen war. Der durfte dann tagelang Jutesäcke zerschneiden, einfärben und Streifen annähen. Wenn man diesen im Zivilleben heute nicht mehr zur Verfügung hat, aber im Herzen Infanterist geblieben ist und den Nachwuchs nachhaltig mit der Thematik TTV beeindrucken / im Wald erschrecken will, ist dieser Ghillie eine durchaus brauchbare Lösung fürs Geld. Zum Lieferumfang: Hose, Jacke, Helmbezug sowie ein „fludderiger“ Streifen fürs Gewehr sind dabei. Das Paket ist also vollständig und praxisnah zusammengestellt. Ganz, ganz wichtig – und das sollte man vorher wissen: Nach dem Auspacken sieht der Ghillie nicht einmal ansatzweise so aus wie auf den Produktbildern. Die Fasern sind zopfartig verdreht und müssen einzeln aufgedröselt werden, damit das Ganze überhaupt in Richtung brauchbare Tarnung geht. Das ist deutlich mehr Arbeit, als man zunächst denkt, ehrlich gesagt auch ziemlich nervig. Dabei fallen außerdem einige Fäden heraus. Das ist der Grund für den Stern Abzug. Hat man diese Vorarbeit aber geleistet, passt das Bild. Dann stimmt auch die Wirkung. Um das Maximum herauszuholen, ist eine infanteristische Vorbildung von unschätzbarem Vorteil. Einfach mitten auf die Wiese legen und „verschmelzen“ funktioniert nicht. Wer diese Ausbildung nicht genießen durfte, dem sei dringend empfohlen, sich auf YouTube entsprechende Lehrfilme anzusehen. Tarnung ist kein Kostüm, sondern Handwerk. Zur entscheidenden Frage: Braucht man sowas als Zivilist? Klar. Auf jeden Fall. Solider Ghillie Suit mit ordentlichem Grundmaterial, realistischem Tarnpotenzial – aber nur für Leute, die bereit sind, Zeit, Arbeit und ein Mindestmaß an TTV-Verständnis zu investieren.

La verdad, tenía duda hasta que abrí el paquete... Es de buen material , bien hecho, al principio solo hay que desarreglar el tejido para darle más volumen al traje. Se ve MUY bien! Cumple con lo especificado...
