Elbow Grease Success
My fireplace hadnโt been cleaned in YEARS. Weโre finally resurfacing it so I figured Iโd clean the interior as well. I looked through different options and decided to try this brand because of the good reviews and because it came with the scrub brush. Figured it couldnโt make my fireplace any worse, so worth a shot. The product is super simple to use: wet the fireplace bricks, put product on the scrub brush, then scrub the bricks until your muscles burn. Repeat as needed. One tip I learned while doing this is to follow the directions of using hot water. I initially tried with room temperature water, and yes it still works, but not nearly as well. When I heated the water just before the boiling point, it made scrubbing much easier and more effective. I cleaned my fireplace over a two day period since it was so bad to begin with. I also let the product sit on the bricks for the allotted 10 min max each day before scrubbing and wiping it off. It could probably benefit from a couple more scrubs, but itโs getting cold and weโre going to be using the fireplace soon so itโs good enough for now. I plan on really going at it in the spring and getting the bricks looking good then. Thankfully, it comes in a big bottle so I wonโt have to buy another bottle, just store the one I have until I need it again. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. It effectively cleaned my fireplace bricks, didnโt stink of harsh chemicals (it smells like finger painting paint), and isnโt toxic. All wins in my book. The only things you need to supply to use this product is the hot water and towels for wiping down after (they recommend microfiber, but I didnโt have any so I used an old towel).

This product is incredibly effective. After a single application, there is no trace of soot on my fireplace.
We recently moved into a home and I wanted to clean the unsightly soot stains off the fireplace. It might be sandstone, or at least it feels like some kind of a sandy natural rock. The procedure to use this product is simple. Wet the brush, apply some gel directly to the brush, and start scrubbing. The gel doesn't go far, so you will find yourself re-applying very frequently. After you're done, you get a spray bottle of water and hose the gel residue off the fireplace, then towel everything off. It took me about half an hour, and the fireplace looks as good as new. I understand that the gold standard for effective fireplace cleaning is sodium triphosphate, but that stuff is really dangerous. You have to use it under proper ventilation, you really don't want to get any of it on your skin or floors or anything else, and it's even banned in some municipalities for the environmental damage it causes. The reality is that just the setup time to prevent damaging my floors or harming myself using sodium triphosphate would have taken longer than it took me to manually scrub the fireplace with Quick N Brite. A+ product, would recommend it to anyone.

Works pretty good
This works pretty good. It was easy to use. It didn't take out a couple of tougher stains. Works fast. Doesn't smell bad.

Only Quick part is how tired your arms get
I choose this brand over others because it said "Quick" on the label. Nothing quick about it except how fast my arms and back starting hurting. After painting the living room I wanted to clean up the soot on the natural stones above the fireplace opening. I followed the directions carefully but had to scrub very hard to get the stones clean. The product did work but will need a second scrubbing to get all the stones to look the same degree of clean. I only used half of the bottle so I can do it again--but will enlist one of my adult kids to do it for me next time. The brush that was included is very strong and will be useful for other projects.

Disappointed
The gel cleaner was completely ineffective in cleaning my stone. Was useless. In addition - the brush provided basically fell apart after one touch / scrub on the stone. So in addition to the stone not being any cleaner - I had hundreds of little blue and white strands that fell off the brush. Very disappointing

Am Amazing Cleaner!!!
HOLY COW!!!! I cannot believe how well this product worked. I hadn't cleaned the fireplace stone in 12 years and had resigned myself to living with the discoloration. After just 15 minutes of very light/easy work, my entire fireplace looks like new. In the picture, the stone on the right was just cleaned... and it looked like the stone on the left when I started. I just used a spray water bottle to get the stone wet, then put a quarter-size blob of cleaner on the included brush. I brushed gently for about 20 seconds, and then sprayed it off with the water bottle. The soot just RAN off. It takes a lot for me to be this impressed.... but, man alive, I can't recommend this product strongly enough!

Easy application and amazingly effective
We recently had our wood fireplace replaced by a gas fireplace. There was some soot staining on the brickwork above the fireplace as well as on the stoop that really distracted from the new appearance. The installer recommended the paint and peel version of fireplace brick cleaning. I was very hesitant because of the reviews of those type products. I read the reviews on Quick n Brite and was intrigued by the ease of application and the fact that it was environmental friendly. Normally environmental friendly products don't work as well as other chemical products. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Wet the brick, apply the gel product with a scrub brush until foamy, and then spray-water rinse the product from the brick. I used old towels to cover the fireplace and to soak up the rinse. The result was really amazing. We even had some soot and red candle wax on the stoop that had spilled from our small candelabra We used when we didn't want a full wood fire. And this product cleaned almost all of it off. Well worth the price and minor effort to put a little more clean on that brick.
