How many watts does it use when keeping water at 100

Having used an energy monitoring plug I’m certain that it uses between 2.79 to 157.92 Watts of power for the keep warm function based on the highest temperature setting of 96 degrees. I performed the following test using only the keep warm function for a solid 48hours. It’s important to note that no one used the Bredeco during that time. The Bredeco was filled to the fill line at the top of the tank and the energy usage only started once the tank had reached 98 degrees. 24hrs of standby energy usage = 1.389 kWh at .34p per kWh = £0.47p If you used the keep warm function for a whole year that would equate to:- 1.389 kWh x 365 days = 506.985 kWh x 34.0p/kWh = £172.37 for the year Thats based on todays energy costs which is currently capped by the UK Government Energy Price Guarantee (until end of March 2023) at 34.0p/kWh. That above figure doesn’t include the 680watts of power needed to boil the water every time it’s refilled, that’s in addition. Now I know the true cost of using the keep warm function I have to say that I’ve since stopped using my Bredeco and reverted back to a quick boil kettle (just filling the kettle for one or two cups as required) and I’ve already noticed an improvement on my energy consumption. Do you have to plump it in ?

I use filtered water from a jug and fill that way. You can pump the water out to fill cup if away from kitchen.

how long is the warranty

Been told 3 years but I wouldn’t recommend buying one as sent mine back twice and it’s still faulty

Can I fill a teapot from the thermo pot

Yes you can - but... The default top temperature of the pot is 95 degrees, and everyone I know likes to put boiling water over their tea in a teapot. Then there is my wife, who happily pours it from the pot over her teabag in a cup. I drink coffee so all I have is hearsay evidence.
