Cozy Days: The Art of Iraville

I’ve followed this artist for years on Pinterest without knowing who it was. I only recently discovered she had books. I ordered immediately. This book is SO adorable and so inspiring! I’ll be ordering her other book now!

I can't even express how impressive this book is. For the price I expected a standard art coffee table book, a lot of pretty pictures with little substance in regards to text and valuable information. I was wrong. This is SO much more than a typical art book, there's only one painting tutorial, but theres other types of tutorials as well including how to make your own watercolor paints using any dry pigment you can find - which even if you're not interested in added a behind-the-scenes intrigue to this book. There is a pretty in-depth tutorial on how to make your own watercolor sketchbook including binding it. This is nice for serious artists because often times premade books are made with low quality paper.There is a TON of artwork in here. It starts with portraits/people and moves on to plants/landscapes. I felt like this project was taken very seriously by the artist and she wanted to give us our money's worth. I would highly recommend this to any lover of watercolor artwork and especially to fellow artists.

The media could not be loaded.  This coffee table book comes in a carton casing and a dust jacket, and within magazine-quality pages of Ira's art, occasionally dotted with artist tips and trick such as making your own custom art tools, as well as the methodology behind her art.Iraville is an absolute inspiration to get better in watercolor illustration. There's something about her work that charms me and still make me stare in disbelief that it's all done in watercolor. She and Heikala have a released books and both I recommend to get if you are watercolorists or adore beautiful traditional pieces chock full of details.

Absolutely wonderful book full of technical information and Ira's wonderful illustrations. As someone who paints with watercolor this book is both helpful and inspiring. She goes into so much detail on what she uses and how she makes her art, and then shows examples of her work. I love this book and keep it out all the time.

I’ve followed Iraville for years on Instagram. She has a style all her own and her art is expressive and full of life. This book is filled with her work and I can spend hours with it at a time. There was clearly a great amount of love and care put into creating this book and it’s a valued part of my library.

I saw this author on Instagram and her videos are incredibly informative. Her pallet is soothing and subtle and her application of the paint is inspiring. Wonderful addition to my collection of artists and looking forward to her next book!

Excelente libro, lo único es que el mal embalaje de Amazon ocasionó que una de sus esquinas se doblara, por más que es tapa dura.

I have read multiple art books and personally own quite a few. Hands down, this is easily one of my favorites on the shelf. I have followed Iraville for some time, but seeing her work on tangible paper in my own hands is truly special. The care that has gone into this creation shines bright. Her personal connection is strong and you feel like she is sitting there with you as you read. The illustrations are stunning, but her heart shines through most.I would buy again and would recommend to anyone in the art community.

Awesome book, that any artist would want to add to their collection. Iraville's book has stunning illustrations. One can learn from her style, but draw it differently but still get the understanding behind her concept. A wonderful book to have out for others to look through. Makes a wonderful gift, or a little something for oneself.
