Works well, some caveats
This product is a real game changer for me. It not only works well, but its effect is immediate. I found however, that chewing the lozenges isn’t really bearable without water in one’s mouth. The lozenges have a bitter, semi-sweet, acidic taste that is only relieved by placing them in your mouth, filling your mouth with several ounces of water, and then chewing. The alternative to doing this is to simply crush the two tablets into powder, add the powder to a glass of water, and drink. To that end, perhaps the company may wish to consider offering this in powder packets. Aside from that, this formula is very effective and supports a good night’s sleep without dealing with reflux.

This product works really well!
This is not a one shoe fits all type of product, having read all the 1 star reviews I was concerned, but after going through a whole bottle, I am back for more. This product works great for reflux after large meals and is great for breakthrough reflux while you sleep. The flavor is fine, if you have texture issues then the foamy texture will probably bother you. Definitely recommend washing it down with water.

Incapable of being ingested per instructions
Had a problem with throat clearing, and my doctor suggested this product, thinking I had some sort of reflux. Well, I tried it, thinking it would be similar to Tums, since the tablets looked like Tums or Sweet Tarts. I popped a couple in my mouth, and gagged to the point of nearly heading for the porcelain god! This stuff expands as you chew, and has the most unpleasant taste, despite the description of "berry flavor." If I could just have chewed and swallowed, I could have managed, but I literally could not swallow this stuff. I finally had to drink a tall glass of water just to get it down. I then realized that you are supposed to take them without water, and came to the realization that the so-called "cure" was far worse than the problem. Just to give it a proper try though, I tried it 2 more times, and each time I had the same experience, even when taking one at a time. All that did was prolong the horrible experience, and create 2 gag-worthy sessions. Nope! I'll work on another approach to my problem, but this stuff is going back. Many of the pills in the jar were broken as well.

It works just be careful the first time.
Have had issues with stomach acid in the esophagus and research brought me to the Esophageal Guardian. It does cost a bit more than what I'd like it to but so far it seems to work. The first time I took it I was not expecting the Alginic Acid to react so fast, it foamed up in my mouth and was hard to swallow. Since then, I have learned to do 1 tablet at a time (I still take 2 just 1 at a time) and I chew it as fast as I can to break it down and then I swallow it with help of water. Doing this method it's a lot easier to use. The taste is fine to me, tastes like berry flavoring. I should also mention the first time it felt really heavy in my stomach. Which apparently is normal the first time. it no longer feels heavy like it did. If you have stomach acid issues, I suggest at least giving it a try. Just keep in mind what I mentioned above that it reacts really fast so chew fast swallow fast 1 tablet at a time.

Effective, tastes good, but Prop 65 warning
Tastes good and works but why the prop 65 warning?! They are slow to respond to queries for exact heavy metal amounts in a given batch- they give that its below a certain (high) cutoffs but not amt detected. The response they give to reviews that something like spinach can contain enough of a heavy metal to warrant a prop 65 warning doesnt cut it. This is not a vegetable, this is a health supplement that sources ingredients and concentrates specific components. They need to respond to heavy metal/other harmful contaminant testing results and adjust sources accordingly.

Works well for nighttime Gerd
I had break thru gerd at night just taking Gaviscon. I take this stuff, dry, no water before bed. Is it foamy and weird tasting? Yes, but it is well worth it. Best remedy I've tried in years.

Works well!
This stuff is really a lifesaver. It helps so much with reflux at night. I used to have to take baking soda before bed every night, but now I take these and they’re great. I like the taste…it has a berry flavor. Before chewing I have just a small amount of water in my mouth to mix with these tablets so it’s a little less thick, and makes it easier for me to swallow.

Best travel treatment for reflux
Easier for travel and less expensive than Reflux Gourmet. Two tablets and some water and you get the same relief.
