Why do seeds come with mold?

most likely didn't soak in anything after harvested to prevent it. mine had it as well and only 1 sprouted, so I had gotten a lucky survivor, but I'm looking to get them again this year again since I want more seedlings i can't say for sure if this product is good or bad, buy i fallowed the directions I was given with them after i soaked them in peroxide to kill mold and oxygenize the seeds.
