This requires an additional purchase. The advert also says it is "streak free and easy to wear"!!!
I couldn't use it the day it arrived as it requires an additional purchase of a MicroSD card, which is irritating. I also don't understand the other listed features: Streak-free and easy to apply Comfortable to wear all day No self TAN smell, with our mood-boosting fragrance Model number: H1n

All three have broke in the same way.
I bought the previous model to this two years ago with an acessory pack. Quite quickly I noticed the screw in part at the back started to recede, before cracks started to appear. I sold it and bought this newer model and unbelievably the same thing happened to this within days. Had this a few months, I use it very lightly, only at home, it seems it does not react well to the tripod - let me be clear, I treat it with care and make sure the triopd doesn't screw in tight. My friend bought his at the same time as we do audio projects with each other over the internet - and his cracked straight away in exactly the same way after using the tripod. Now my Zoom has stopped interacting with computers, which is really the main way I use this device, on bus power as a live mic. Cannot believe the money I'm wasting on these.

Must buy tool for serious musicians & creative professionals. Awesome price to performance ratio.
I am a musician who plays various stringed instruments. I use this recorder for ideation, learning & live recordings, creating demo recordings for self-reference. I feel that this is an amazing tool for those who are serious about music and need a handy device for outdoor/indoor & a makeshift studio microphone for a basic home studio setup. Currently I am using this recorder for Sitar, Guitar & Percussion sounds. From learning to live events, this one will always be recording because it allows me to get back to my performances or practise & get an amazing feedback on the mistakes I made or to never miss out on new ideas etc. Additionally, I got it running with a 128 GB Scandisk memory card. The trick is to format the partition & the partition table with FAT (not exFAT or FAT32). This allows me to use around 120GB of space while the recorder shows over 900 hours of recording time. The only down side is power cycle (power on) takes a few seconds more as it probably tries to explore 120 GB worth SD card space. Will research on the appropriate rechargeable batteries and update the post in a few months. For now any standard heavy duty AAA battery pair seems to be quite sufficient. Well nothing in this world is perfect (I wonder if the word perfect is perfect itself?), so here is the critique. Build quality seems to be a bit unsatisfactory, the tool feels like a single unit & feels quite sturdy & robust but well, could be better built & finished but for this price ratio & the quality of audio recording provided, its absolutely Amazing! I wonder if the higher range premium Zoom recording devices are better finished & feel more awesome to carry around!

Nice product
Very cheap in price but amazing product.i am using it on Sony a7s3.just remember drain battery very quickly and don't forget to remove batteries while not using it.i am using it mostly for over voice so while using it at home make sure to connect it through USB cable while batteries in it then it won't use ur batteries and u can have infinite time with it. Amazing sound quality 👌

I choose the Zoom H1n over the Tascam DR-07x for my particular use case
TL;DR if all you care about is onboard mic recording performance: Zoom H1n noisier. Zero interference issues. Tascam DR-07x clearer and noticeably quieter. Problematic EM interference issues if any other electronics are within 3 meters of the device. External mic cable can act as an antenna on top of this. I choose the Zoom H1n over the Tascam DR-07x for my particular use case which is recording louder sounds as well as using external binaural in-ear mics. Binaural mics with the Tascam are unusable. They make a ground loop-like noise unless you "ground" yourself to the device by touching the mic capsules or by wiring yourself into the headphone jack. Zoom H1n: -XY only, Stereo separation+width greater than DR07x's X/Y -Onboard mics have higher noise. Not for recording quiet sounds like speech from a distance without moderate noise reduction. FR is not flat. -No buzzing with binaural in-ear mics in the mic-in. -UI/UX annoying to get into menus, gain knob feels nice but hard to manipulate and not positioned to my liking. God help you if you have massive hands, I don't and still don't like it. I'd prefer something more convenient to change with one hand like if they offset it and rotated 90 degrees so it's UpDown instead of side to side. -Less recording features and features overall -smol, takes 2xAAA -Buttons rattle -Brighter backlight -Max SDHC capacity 32GB -Rec light is harder to see, doubles as clip indicator which is also hard to see (Solid LED flashes when clipped, but does not indicate when the limiter is hit like the Tascam does) Tascam DR-07x -X/Y + AB (XY being narrower than H1n's XY, AB being wider than H1n's XY) -Onboard mics and amps are just plain better and quieter than the Zoom. Online reports about noise are conflicting. Tested with fixed tones matched to the same levels and spatially averaged. Noticeably lower noise and higher clarity than the H1n but still not even close to good enough to record quiet sounds without noise reduction software. FR is not flat. -Unavoidable buzzing with binaural in-ear mics in mic-in. You can "ground" yourself by touching the mic capsules or putting a 3.5mm male-male connector into the headphone out and taping it to yourself but.. just why -Highly sensitive to interference from electronic devices. Even a normal room with an LED bulb in the ceiling is enough to make it flip out. -UI/UX better imo. Directional controls. Easy to operate with one hand. -chonk, takes 2xAA -Buttons don't rattle -Slightly dimmer backlight -Max SDXC capacity 128GB -Separate clip and rec lights, clip indicator easier to see
