GM Genuine Parts 12679100 Exhaust Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid with Seal, Retainer, and Bolt

Easy install, watch a YouTube video for the truck to disconnect the connector if you're a rookie. No surprise if you're replacing it - I used to practically hand these out like Halloween candy to technicians at the Chevy parts department when I worked there. Fits 100%, fixes the car, great price, what more can you ask for?

Ordered this for an LDK engine (2.0T Ecotec A20NHT) that was throwing up P0014 and running poorly. The new solenoid immediately fixed the issue. High quality part that comes with new screw, retainer and seal in a genuine GM box. Installation is ridiculously easy, 5 minutes at most. Crazy good value as this is a fraction of the cost of aftermarket models available in the EU and is genuine GM, a no brainer! Would recommend the seller or Amazon to better package it, the box was damaged but the solenoid itself was fine, a paper bag is definitely not enough for a trip to the EU!

So far so great! Consumers: you must get the OEM product in order for this to work, no short cuts to these solenoids as my last set is being returned! Simple install and gave it a run down a mile with no issues, in fact the idling improved immediately after install

OEM quality

Worked fine but failed to include the screw and screw bushing.

Perfect fit, took care of the P0014 code that was setting, as a tech have replaced dozens of these and this was for wife's car. Ten minute replacement time, very easy for anyone.

I threw a check engine light, and as soon as I ran the code, I easily diagnosed the problem via YouTube videos. This is one of the simpler items you can change on your Chevy Malibu. Just follow any number of the tutorial videos on YouTube. Just make sure to delicately remove the plastic pins as they are very fragile from the heat of the engine bay. Mine cracked, but I was still able to reconnect as long as I seated the broken pieces properly. The one I previously put in was all gunked up and it turned out I burnt a lot of oil. So make sure you check your oil level if you see a need to replace this as well. Genuine OEM part.

ITEM IS NOT NEW and suspected not a genuine GM Part. Item was sent damaged as per pic, in a ziplock bag, with the sticker that indicates this was already returned previously (google LPN PM FS835 3153 as per the picture). Nothing on the item indicates this is a genuine GM part - numbers on part do not match the part number in the advertisement. I would leave a zero star if i could DO NOT BUY.
