Why do bottles of Mike's Hot Honey vary in color?

The color of honey can vary naturally depending on the flowers the bees visit. Since we use wildflower honey from different countries of origin, colors range from light amber to amber based on harvests. This variation doesn't affect quality or flavor

What should I do if my honey starts to crystallize?

It's natural for high-quality honey, like Mike's Hot Honey, to crystallize over time, especially in cooler temperatures. But don't worry, it's still perfectly good to eat! To return your honey to its liquid state, gently warm it to about 110°F

Do I need to refrigerate Mike's Hot Honey after opening?

No. For the best flavor and texture experience, store Mike's Hot Honey at room temperature (ideally 70-80°F) both before and after opening. Cooler temperatures accellerate the natural crystalization process

What's the difference between Original and Extra Hot Mike's Hot Honey?

Extra Hot delivers the same sweet-heat combo as our Original, but with an extra kick. Extra Hot stays true to our one-two flavor punch of sweetness then heat, but with kick of heat upfront at the front of you palate, thanks to a hotter pepper

How do you ensure ethical treatment of your bees?

We source honey from ethical, sustainable partners—cooperatives and small farmers who prioritize bee health. We rigorously test our honey to ensure it's free from any traces of antibiotics, a sign of healthy and well-cared-for bees

Yum!

LOVE Mike’s Hot Honey. Big staple for meals in our home. It’s usually sold out in the local stores nearby so it was nice to be able to order in bulk.

Great stocking stuffer

For those "older" kids who insist to still get stocking at Christmas. This is a great stocking stuffer!

So good!

This honey is great. I generally only use it on pizza. I forget to try it on other foods. The honey has a little bit of heat, not too much, at least for me. I have had no issues with the seal and leaking.
