How can I get it to stop rattling and shaking with every footstep and vibration? It stands alone on my dresser but it rattles and shakes all the time.

The stand is sturdy but Im not sure that the plate would not move when you pushed down. I guess it would depend on the size of the bottle and how hard you pushed down. I simply remove my lotion and place it on the counter. Use it and place it back on the stand. I have hair products, deoderant, Parfums , toothpaste and things like that on mine. Hope this helps.
