How do you clean them? Are they washable?

I would hand wash them. But it hasn't come up yet.

Is there any difference between the yellow and green colored liners?

Just the color . There’s nothing different other then that.

Do you have to place produce directly on the mats, or do you wrap them as you normally would (foil, saran or bags)?

I wash my produce after either harvesting or buying. Then I place in my refrigerator directly on mats.. I wash the mats in warm soapy water and let thoroughly dry about once a month.

Do the fruit have to be in a drawer to be preserved?

I really don’t know but I think they would have to be. We have them in the vegetable drawers and they seem to keep the contents fresh longer.
