Fel-ProVS 50606 R Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set for Honda Civic

This product fit the valve cover perfectly with zero issues. I have replaced valve cover gaskets in the past (not this one) that have fit pretty close but not exact. This one is a perfect fit. Replacing the grommets for the spark plug holes was a little struggle as the old ones in mine were petrified and had to nearly cut them out. Take your time with the old ones and they will come out.The only issue I had installing the new gaskets was not the gasket itself was the maneuvering around the A/C line. Last thing I wanted to do was compromise that and have pressurized refrigerant in my face. I had to get some help with lining everything up and moving stuff out of the way to get it back in without damaging the new gasket.After 2 months my valve cover is completely leak free and didn't have to use any additional gasket sealant.

Worked very well for my 2004 Honda Civic 1.7L. Replacement gaskets for the valve cover hold-down bolts (VCHDB) with the metal grommet "cap" are included. The larger set of supplied rubber gaskets are for the injection coils, but I just kept the old ones on. I'd recommend the 1A Auto YouTube tutuorial "How to Replace Valve Cover Gasket Set 01-05 Honda Civic" for pro detailed install step-by-step, though no need to separate the VCHDB rubber gasket from the metal grommet since the pair are supplied together in the package - nice! Tip: Don't over-tighten the hold-down bolts, they can readily shear off. Better to err a teeny-bit loose, run the engine some, recheck the valve cover and bolt seals, adjust the bolt tightness if necessary, repeat until no more leaks or drips are seen.

I installed this in my 04 civic after attempting to do a valve lash adjustment, I got everything off but didn't want to deal with feeler gauges and manually turning the engine when I had to go somewhere the next day, I'll probably just have someone else do the valve lash adjustment as it's making scary ticking noises, and I don't trust myself enough to get the right clearance.Fits perfectly and no oil leak. I recommend getting some gasket maker sealant for 5 bucks just in case.You can see the old gasket in the photos, it looks like the gasket was replaced before with this one, and didn't have any oil leaking, I didn't want to re-use it though. It was still beneficial to replace the gaskets as one of my spark plug wells had oil in it.

Installed without issues, seems like a quality product, haven't seen any signs of leaks since I installed it either.

Why let your Honda leak oil when for little money you can fix it with this quality kit !

This seems to work well so far, it fit up reallywell to the engine. Time will tell if it loses its seal or not

Gotta invert the spark plug gasket to work on the factory valve cover.. needs a web link when doing the job because there are no directions plus the the bolts to hold the cove down.. the rubber washers are useless unless you change the bolts because you can't remove old ones

Really great kit. Easy installation (2005 Civic LX) with a confident feel. Eliminated my valve cover leak completely without any need for additional RTV.
