Not the best choice for oil based stain.
This was ok for awhile, but the design drips a lot and the adhesive came undone halfway through the project. I was using an oil based deck stain so this might have been the issue.

Poor design
They fell apart soon after getting stain on them. Sticky side didn’t hold up to keep round shape

Makes staining job easier to tackle
I used this to stain the railing part my deck. The railing part of the job is always the most time consuming since there are some many of them. This tool made it easier to tackle this part of the job, the pad is flexible and you can cover the corners and surface of the railing in one motion. The pads are replaceable so you can keep the backing part for future use.

Terrible design. Adhesive that holds pad released after 10 minutes. The tool was useless after that.
