Perfect for home printing though be cautious about Instant Ink sign up
I bought this printer 2 weeks ago. It was extremely easy to set this up especially if you have a Windows 10 PC and have installed the HP Smart App from Windows store. I would VERY STRONGLY suggest that you view the videos on HP's website regarding how to set up the printer and insert the ink cartridges that come along with the printer.IMPORTANT: I made a rookie mistake when I was setting up the printer and signed up to their Instant Ink plan (Free Plan) straight away as this was recommended during the set up process. When I signed up to the Free Plan, the ink cartridges that were included with the box were automatically converted into instant ink cartridges and any page I printed was counted towards my free monthly usage (15 pages). This was because the ink cartridges that were included were 'HP Instant Ink Ready'. By signing up to their Free plan, I effectively authorised HP to use these cartridges towards the monthly count. After 3 calls with their somewhat supportive Tech, I was told that I can't go back using the free cartridges unless I cancel the Free Instant Ink plan which will take effect from the next billing cycle. I could only print a maximum of 15 pages without incurring any charge. Once the cancellation has gone through, I can continue printing using the free cartridges until they ran out of ink and can then sign up to the Instant Ink plan again. I was advised to do that by the first 2 tech support ladies who were a bit rude (maybe due to taking increased and numerous calls during the lockdown). Anyway, the 3rd guy I spoke with told me instead to sign up for one of their paid plans because the printer came with 2 months trial. So if you sign up to £1.99 instant ink plan, you would get 2 months free (i.e. 50 pages a month). There were a lot of useful reviews in this website where the users provided the referral code. I randomly used one of them and got 1 more month free. So I could use their Occasional Printing Plan for free for 3 months. If you wish to then go back to the Free Plan at the end of 3 months, you can call the tech support and ask them to make this change (you WONT be able to do that online).Back to the printer itself: It is a bit noisy but there is a Quiet Mode that you can use to reduce the noise level to some extent. The print quality is absolutely superb. Both b/w and colour pages look crisp and vibrant. I bought this for my 5yo who is being home schooled during the lockdown and this printer is proving to be very useful. You could print on both the sides but this is done manually. You select the option 'Print on both sides' and wait for the 1st side to be printed, there will be a pop up notification asking you to click on Continue when you have turned the page over and inserted it back on the tray for the 2nd side to be printed. The printer is very light and compact and fits neatly in a small space / desk next to the computer. I think along with the instant ink plan at £32 that I paid for this printer, this was a neat bargain. After I ordered, the estimated shipping was 1 month from the date of the order (I was expecting this to be delivered on 4th May), but Amazon got some fresh stock in their warehouse and thankfully I got this delivered within a week. Great job Amazon. As mentioned above, if you are signing up to the instant ink plan, you could use a referral code to get 1 additional month with your free trial. Here's my referral code: RBjCz

Ideal little printer
Having had many printers over the years I wasn’t expecting much but have been pleasantly surprised by this one. I print a lot because of my business and decided to give the ink subscription a go; perfect and affordable. No problems connecting it at all, print from my phone, iPad and laptop easily. No issues yet with jams or print problems which usually show up quite quickly for me! Print quality so far has been excellent for my needs, haven’t needed to print photos but it’s very good with basic images so think it’s ok for photos too. The copy function is good but doesn’t pick up the colours quite as well - not a major flaw. Scanning easy too. All in all I’m very happy so far with it and would recommend this for small start up business or personal use, especially signing up to the ink plan.

Great basic all in one printer
If you are looking for a cheap printer with cheap ink then this is a good choice for you. This basic level printer is a good size and is very easy to use. It contains several functions in one with the ability to scan, copy and print in both black or colour. I have to say this is one of the quieter printers I've owned. We found it quite difficult to use the WiFi printing function and it was a faff to set it up especially as the printer is turned off at the wall after using. Luckily it comes with the USB connection cable which works perfectly every time. The WiFi printing seems to work much better from a phone or a laptop and is easier to connect.

Cheap but great quality
This was very easy to install, didn’t even need to boot the computer up, just downloaded the app for my phone and setup the printer within minutes.Print quality is very good, but as you would expect from a HP printer the ink is expensive if you buy the cartridges for the printer, so they try to push the subscription service to you.If you are only going to use it occasionally for colour prints (like myself) then take the free subscription option and avoid ongoing bills. You still get 15 prints a month included.Pros: Cheap, easy to setup, not expensive for an occasional use printerCons: Could proved expensive if you want to do lots of prints regularly, not particularly quick to print

Excellent Little Printer!
I bought this basically because it was one of the only printers available at the time and besides the fact that that it was one of the cheapest, it is easily the best little printer I have ever had. Now, I am in no way technically minded and I was dreading setting up the printer to my wi fi as I couldn't have it attached to my router. However I can honestly say it was fantastically easy and I just followed the very clear and easy steps and within 15 mins of taking it out of the box I was printing and have been ever since (3 weeks now) without a problem and despite changing my dead router and having a bit of an overhaul on my wi fi, I just followed the steps again and I was soon printing! I don't print many pages to be honest, just a handful every day for work, but the ink is still at a reasonably high level and I have had no other issues. Maybe I just got lucky.....
