My 14 year old son had surgery on his wrist and now has a short arm cast. We tried the Dry Pro Waterproof cast cover and could not get it to open wide enough to slip his arm in. He was in so much pain as we tried and tried to no avail. When we received the Carex cast protector, he was nervous. But it worked great! I still have to help him put it on as he can not do it one handed. I don't think it would be possible for anyone to do this one handed. The plastic ring is just a bit wider than the cast so it catches on my fingers as I'm pulling it up, no biggie though. It's very easy to slip off though. So no more trash bags and duck tape! I found a video on YouTube that shows a cast cover very much like this one. It's a video of a leg cast cover but the plastic ring and diaphragm are the same. The video is called "How to use your Drycast Cast Cover." Once I watched this video, I ordered this Carex brand hoping the plastic ring and diaphragm worked in the same way, and it does. Watch the video, it helped me make up my mind and I'm glad I order this product.

First, this runs very large! It shows a child on the front of the package, they should show a grown man!This will fit an adult better than a child.It works!! It does stop any water from getting in. However, I did notice that my arm/hand sweat more(from the hot water in the shower, no doubt). so my hand wasn't completely dry from the sweat.But as far as any shower water getting in there it worked great!

Used 3 times, rubber ripped away from the plastic ring. Someone else posted a picture with the same problem. I wish the rubber was as strong as the clear plastic was because it is otherwise well-made.

The product itself is made really well. Unfortunately though, the opening was too big for my 12 year old daughters arm. Once it was over her cast and pulled up to her arm, there was still a gap around the opening allowing water to get in

This is a great product. My son broke his wrist right before leaving on our vacation. This waterproof cast protector came in very handy. He was able to swim for about 30 minutes at a time before a very small amount of water started to come in at which point he hopped out of the water. It is a very sturdy product. I'm not sure that its intended for swimming, but like I said, he was able to swim with it and was very happy. It was also used in the shower and kept his cast completely dry.

Love these products. I have purchased for the leg and arm. Never leaked.I ordered the small ..it is a little long, so if you have a normal size arm this will fit perfectly.If you have a larger size arm (circumference) get larger size because the latex band that keeps water out will be too tight.

Definitely gets the job done of keeping your cast dry, but is so tight that it’s difficukt to get on with just one good hand, especially if your arm is at all sensitive or painful. Also doesn’t seem to be designed for casts that are wrapped in ace bandages, because it screws up the wrapping as you’re taking it on and off.

Broke my arm and needed shower protection for my cast. The Carex cast protector fit perfectly, with extra length that even my husband would be able to use the protector if the need should arise. Glad I did not spend an excessive amount of money on something that is a temporary situation. I also have one for my foot which I have used for two different foot surgeries. I am keeping mine for future use as you never when it will come in handy.
