Haribo World Mix from France 500 grams

Reading others' reviews on this product is a great reminder of how everyone's tastes and preferences are so different. I read a lot of texture and "soap tasting" complaints and it's so funny because the half of the mix they're complaining about are my favorite ones! My husband and I both prefer the candies with a bite-through texture (flowers, gumdrops, jelly babies, red piccolo, raspberries & blackberry gumdrops, yellow bricks) rather than the tougher gummy texture (bears, alligators, airplanes, cola bottles). The first seem to be the ones people are complaining about, but that's a style, not a mistake or quality issue! They are a more European-style candy (ahem, world mix?) so the some of the fruit flavors are less familiar and may have an almost floral hint, but I wouldn't call them soapy. We both personally love those flavors. For us it's the more familiar gummy ones that (while still delicious) we're reaching for last. If you know that you only like classic American textures and flavors, you may agree with the lower ratings, but if you're more open-minded you'll find this mix completely delicious. Also, this arrived while we were away so I was worried about it sitting outside for 2 days in the hot summer sun, but there was no melting or degradation whatsoever. *added pic of my second order laid out (after I ate a few)! This is a much different mix-up than my first order and some gummies are totally absent this time (strawberries, planes, colas) but I couldn't be happier. All the best candies are there in abundance!

I fell in love with this mix when I was living abroad in France. It's got all the best that European Harbio candies have to offer -- including the fact that they've got less sweetener and different types of gelatin. If you're looking for an American style gummy bear mix or CVS brand orange slices, this is not for you. But if you're looking for something a little tangy with a lot of fun textures - I would encourage you to try this! This is the only place I've been able to find this exact mix - so for me it's worth the $$.

The ones that look like Dots taste like hand soap, but other than that I really liked this mix. The variety is kind of strange and wonderful. The nubby eraser looking ones taste like nubby erasers but in a good way. And now that I've found my favorites I can buy specific packs. God bless Amazon.com.

Some of the gummies were hardened, but still tasted ok. Found some good new gummies I like so it wasn’t a complete bust.

Yummy! Small bag for price. But the verity is nice. If you dont mind generic you can buy bags of the different types of gummies for about the same price. But my husband has to have name brand, so this is a great bag!

Somehow they’re all wet and half melted into a large chunk. The expiration date is still 4 months away. Disgusting, straight in the trash.

So I didn't know the passport mix was limited edition. I went crazy looking for it and ended up finding this. I was hesitant to spend $10 on a bag of candy but had a strong taste for good gummies so I splurged. The only downside is I love them! It's as close to the passport mix as I can get so I'll be buying more!
