Worked good at my son's new house. I put just shy of 50 of then on yesterday. I ordered 50 more. I have seen these listed as water proof but Beldons website says indoor use only. I took one apart and it had o rings in it so I would say it's waterproof. They can be used on quad cable but they are very difficult to get on the end of the cable.

These worked well for my project. Of course you have to have the tool to compress these connectors which I have. No issues with signal. Very pleased with this purchase.

High quality connectors. Would buy again and recommend. PPC also makes EX6PLUS, which are shorter; these are XL. These are same kind connectors recently used by the Charter Cable - Spectrum technician at my house. The price was also fair at $0.30 cents each for a bag of 50.

I’m really impressed with these connectors. I started out replacing the ends on a “regular” RG6 cable and then did so on a quad-shielded RG6 cable (photo). Make sure you fold back the braided wire on the regular RG6 — exposing the core with the metallic wrapping. For the quad-shielded, I had to peel back and fold down all layers of the braided wire and metallic wrapping to expose the white core. If you do that, these slide on very easy and crimp down perfectly.

Best feature is the cheap price. The connectors are well made and solid, not some cheap trash. The fit is a little snug on RG6 and it takes a bit of effort to push the cable in, I've used easier ones in the past but once made the connection is solid and will not pull out. I used a Klein compact compression tool and it worked perfectly and seated well. good price for a great connector. top quality. took one star off due to difficulty in pushing in the cable.

Crimped on many RG6 connectors in my day and this version is by far the hardest. That said... I love the connection. I use RG6 quad with Klein stripper and crimping tools. I pulled back the first layer of foil and spread the 2nd layer of wire strands evenly. Once I got the dialectic insulator into the barrel it took a good 10 minutes to get the connector all the way on. I took the connector and pushed it hard on concrete then twisted repeating this process about 30 times. Had to use a rubber jar lid gripper to be able to twist the connector little by little. I now keep the rubber gripper in my tool bag. However, once properly on and crimped the connection is the tightest I've ever achieved. Hopefully it will get easier with experience. UPDATE based on a comment left: After putting on about 10 of these they have gotten easier to put on with experience but they are still difficult with RG6 quad cable. The reason they are difficult is because the barrel pushes under the black jacket and the connector then has to be pushed on until the insulator bottoms out. That is, you have to push the connector barrel under the black jacket about 1/4" to 1/2". I'm changing my rating to 5 stars because tight is good. I’ve used these compression fittings for RG6 coaxial cable builds for several years. None have failed and a tight, proper fit is easy to obtain once you have properly prepared the cable ends. You need to use high quality tools to cut and prepare the cable ends and a GOOD compression tool. While these connectors are weather rated for outdoor use, I sometimes add a rubber boot to any connectors that are destined for long term use outdoors, especially when subject to physical strain. Are there more expensive connectors? Yes. Are they better? I have no clue, as I haven’t used them. I suspect that for commercial applications a higher build quality would be warranted. Cable TV & Internet providers typically have to repair their lines at no charge to the customer except for misuse, so any extra cost per connector is easily justified. But for home use, these are just fine.
