Update: Just for anyone who's using this product for filling in thinning hair, get your vitamin D levels tested! I found out I was immensely vitamin D deficient and after 10 weeks of D therapy my hair is growing back. Review: At 21, I already could see through my scalp when I part my hair and it has been making me super conscious. First I tried thickening powders and tonics by Aveda, Big Sexy Powder Play, Living Proof Full Volume, etc. While those help with volume, they don't cover up the skin in your hair line. I've tried putting eyeshadow like the Naked 2 Palette in my hair line, Toppik, and root color sprays like L'Oreal root magic. Those things either look like make-up in your hair, leave weird striations in your hair line, put stains on your pillows, or don't last that long. This is the first product where I can put it in my hair and it looks natural and just takes the attention away from my hair line. Sometimes it lasts so long I can even see it after I wash my hair one time, so I usually end up just applying it every other shampoo (and I only shampoo twice a week, so I apply it once a week). Even after washing it doesn't look weird, it makes me hair line look really amazing, and I feel confident to do high ponytails and buns again. Sometimes it takes a few layers of application to get the color perfectly matched with my hair, but it goes on so beautifully and it doesn't take very much. I've had it for a month now and I haven't made a dent, I expect this to last at least half a year. The price is hefty, as a college student I didn't know whether it was worth biting the bullet but it really is worth it. I will definitely buy this again, it's the only thing that works!

I love this product. My hair started to go gray in high school. Now that I'm approaching 50, I've decided to grow out my gray. I'm really curious to see what I look like with a head of gorgeous gray. Unfortunately, there's no easy or fast way to do it. Normally, I would just have to suffer with the unsightly color difference as it grows out. Which is why this product is so great. Since I wear my hair parted on the side and with long bangs, I only need to conceal the gray around the part. This product does that perfectly and it really does last until you wash it out. Incredible. I really didn't expect that. The powder is really dense and highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. SO happy with this product. My hair is a very dark brown and this dark brown shade is perfect camouflage. That said, this is a powder not a spray or liquid. It's best if you only need to conceal smaller areas. All over head coverage is just not realistic.

This stuff definitely works (especially for making your hair look fuller around your part/hairline), but make sure not to touch your hair after you apply. Your hands (and whatever you touch) will be covered in it. Also, I expected it to feel like applying powder to your hair, but definitely does feel like you have product in afterward. The last thing worth noting is that it is sort of difficult to cover single grays with this. I don’t have fully gray roots, just a number of them spread out throughout my hair. That said, if you are trying to cover your roots entirely, this would be a great product for you.

Wow works well but is quite small compared to the one I previously used. I like that it’s fragrance free and nice and dark to cover.

After reading so many great reviews, and seeing before/after pics, I decided to give this product a try. Although the price was steep (for eyeshadow sized powder), I figured if it truly works, it’ll be worth it. Plus, I needed quick coverage to take some photos. I have long dark brown hair & at the time my grays, which are more silvery/white, needed coverage of about an inch. WELL, I cannot begin to express how LONG (hrs) it took and how much I had to “blot” onto the same spot to “cover the gray” and just at the top where my roots were exposed from parted line! The “positive”: the powder eventually “covered” but that was after applying so much over and over to the same spots. Although, it never truly got to the “dark brown” … but it was basically a shade lighter so it kind of blended. Maybe it would’ve looked dark brown on someone with darker “pepper” grays vs lighter “salt” grays. 🤷🏻‍♀️ NEGATIVES: you cannot touch your hair afterwards to fix, scratch, and definitely not to run fingers through (beware of a breeze)!! The loose powder on scalp transfers onto your fingers/hands (my fingers looked like I was prepping to be finger printed lol) and it also causes loose powder on scalp to find its way to your face! Trying to remove black powder falling on face after applying make-up and minutes before my photos…nightmare!! 👎 And I didn’t even apply my makeup until after I applied WOW to my roots just in case. Unfortunately, I only used this product once but it was too late for me to return it, so it was money wasted. That said, I figured I’d write my first ever review to hopefully save someone else time and money.

I wanted to love this product because it does a really good job covering gray roots. The color blends naturally with my hair, it’s easy to apply, and it gives instant coverage without looking messy or fake. For a quick touch-up before going out, it definitely works. The downside is that it doesn’t last as long as I expected. I noticed it started to fade and come off throughout the day, especially if I touched my hair. For the price, I was hoping for better staying power. Overall, it’s a good temporary fix that works well for instant coverage, but don’t expect it to last all day without needing to reapply.

I used other gray coverups. This is the best I've used. A bit pricey but it's worth it.

Great product! Easy to apply, looks natural, and lasts. Helps me stretch out my hair appointments by a couple of weeks, so it saves money. I take it on my travels and it hides my gray well, especially in photos.

It’s not a miracle, but helps a lot. Even though it’s a bit pricey, I’m happy with the purchase.

Works as it should and so easy to apply. It is a bit expensive for the quantity, however, it is so good to have on hand when you don't have time to colour new growth.
