I loved this book
I loved this book. We go to an island every summer with the family, we do not see each other much during the year because we all live so far apart. My brother has young children and they loved the book. We tried to find everything that is in there and learned and played together which was wonderful. I could not think of a better way to learn to enjoy how nice it is outside and how many treasures you can find for free. :)

Let's Look On the Seashore
This is one of a series of sticker books for young children, which encourage them to look at nature – others in the series include, “Let’s Look in Woods & Forests,” “Let’s Look on the Farm,” “Let’s Look in Ponds & Rivers,” plus more. This particular book looks at the Seashore and is a slim book, which has a thicker than normal card cover, making it easier to hold when out and about. There is a middle page spread of stickers to pull out and use. The book itself has some basic information on the seashore, along with some amazing facts and then some things to spot. These are separated into, “Easy to Spot,” and “Harder to Spot.” If you have a child who always wants to complete a workbook, you can stick to the easy page, which includes such things as black headed gulls, sea lettuce and clams. You tick these off as you find them and can also unfold the back cover and place stickers of what you find there. The “Harder to Spot,” section includes things such as lobsters and seals; so that will obviously depend on where you are and whether finding them is likely. There is also some good information on sea shells and on the ‘feel’ of things you might find – whether they are rough, hard, soft or slimy. Overall, a good book to take along to the beach if you want to help your child explore and learn, as well as having lots of fun. Sure to improve observational skills and introduce a love of nature.

beautifully illustrated
Stickers are photographic - no trying to match a dodgy drawing to a crab scuttling across the sand. Very simple and informative - most impressed. Child view, age 4, can we check the pictures and make sure we know the right name, Granny - first research skills - check!
