Virtuoso Premium Cleaner

I used this in my 50+ year old Martin D18 with great success. Parts I thought were permanently damaged came back to life with a little elbow grease. I found it most effective if I put a small dollop on and rubbed it in with my fingers before taking the soft cloth to it. I could feel the grime lifting.

This product was recommended to me for use with my guitar's nitrocellulose finish. Nitro finishes tend to feel a bit "sticky" when they interact with sweat, so I hoped this would reduce that. While it does a fine job removing residual sweat and gunk, I can't say that it makes any difference while playing the guitar. It's possible that I need to apply it for a while to see if there is a difference, but thus far it hasn't made any difference.If I see a difference I will update my review. Until then, it seems like just another pricey instrument cleaner.

My Mossman acoustic I bought new in 1992 recently developed a haze on the finish from something (I don't know what) used to polish it the last time I had it set up. I tried microfiber clothes alone, and it looked alright at first, but the greasy haze would come back. I did a lot of research, and finally decided to try a little bit of naptha on linen. That got me most of the way there. I then ordered and used the Virtuoso Premium Cleaner. That got me the rest of the way there. I followed it up with the Virtuoso Premium Instrument Polish. The guitar now looks almost as good as it sounds.

This is the best you can get for cleaning up your guitar. Tackles even old grease (bought a used Martin, someone must have been playing it in the kitchen.)

This was recommended to remove sweat haze and other stains from acoustic guitar. Nothing else came close. Cleaned and polished.

The best for Nitrocellulose finished guitars. Even worked over cracks int he finish without tarnishing the wood!

I was able to use this to remove a sweat stain and other mark from my Martin guitar.
