Ultra Bright Light

These replaced 500 watt halogens in a church nave. They work fine and throw at least as much light.

I've always loved how bright these bulbs are, I was able to get them on sale. My only complaint is the limited flood of the light, because of the way the heat sink is around the bulb they don't flood light as well as normal led bulbs, but the are very bright

Now THIS is a good flood light. I've tried three others - all returned. This is bright, has good coverage and a realistic color. Not like those white-light daylight bulbs that are popular and might otherwise be found on an airport runway ;) Perfect

The product is fine. Seems really well made and heat sinked. but Forget about using these in an outdoor flood light (the ones typically made of pot metal chinesium) they are too heavy and you'll probably strip the screws on the fixture. I think i'll just buy up a lifetime supply of energy sucking incandescents and pay the power bill than create all the ewaste.

I put one of these on my exterior flood lights and never turned it off for about 3 years. It eventually burned out. We also have a lot of thunderstorms and lightning where I live (South East U.S.) In the interim, I had replaced the regular lightbulbs a few times. I bought two more of these so i now have one on each of my two outdoor flood light fixtures. I will purchase more. They are heavy duty nd last years. (I leave them on day and night)
