USB C/Type C to 3.5mm Aux Audio Headphone Charger and Music Jack Adapter Pixel 2/2XL/3/3XL Esential and so on Type c Products

Super excited to use this, fits great with my pixel 2xl

One issue with phones like the Essential is that without the phone jack I've been in a bit of a pickle a few times when I had to choose between listening to my phone (e.g. Netflix, conference call, Skype call, etc) quietly OR charging it.This neat little dongle enables me to do both using any jack headset.Whether I don't want to wake up my spouse, or I'm in a place (plane, coffee shop, etc.) where I need to charge and listen this is the perfect tool that I always keep with me in my backpack.

I bought this for my Google pixel 2 XL. When it arrived it was exactly the product I had ordered. However, only the auxiliary jack worked on it and when the charger was also plugged in it would stop the music from playing and then it would not charge my phone. Even when only the charger was plugged in it still would not charge my phone. I continued to use it for only music for about a week and then the casing fell off. I am returning this product.

Works wonders with Pixel 2 XL. No background noise/static and easy volume control during calls using phone volume control buttons. Did not work with my headphone volume control buttons.

I'm still testing it. I don't know if its the phone (Pixel 2) or this adapter but it takes about three to four tries every time I connect my headphones to listen to music. I tried two different pairs of headphones that I know work and got the same result. I hear a popping noise upon connecting it but no sound until I disconnect and reconnect multiple times. This is frustrating. I'm going to purchase another USB C audio adapter and I will find out if its the phone or the adapter. So far, when it connects good and laying flat on a tablet I have no distortion and no issues with sound cutting off. I will update over time.Update Oct 11 - I received another similar product (without the power port) and had no issues, great sound using both headphones, works just the way I expected it. I tried this adapter again and ran into the same issues as before. This adapter takes multiple tries to connect and when I put my phone in my pocket the sound cuts off. There is something faulty with this adapter. If it connects on first try, it will disconnect upon slight movement of cable.

...with a slight quirk.Got home and this was waiting in the rain for me. Luckily the envelope was water resistant and the package inside was a zip lock bag. It never ceases to amaze the difference in delivery drivers. Some will leave the package on top of a wall by my door in plain view of the street, while others will properly place the package out of view behind the wall and yet others will take the extra second to position package out of the rain too. To those drivers, thank you for taking some pride in doing your job to the best of your ability no matter how low the pay. To the others, take the initiative to learn. The surveillance cameras show your attitude perfectly and it doesn't need sound to do so. This is from someone who has experienced both high and low pay over the years.On to the review. I started watching a video and quickly plugged in my headphones and charger into the adapter, then plugged in the adapter to the phone. Nothing. No charge. No headphone sounds. Unplugged adapter. Unplugged headphones. Then plugged back in adapter with charger attached. Slow charge. Ok. That worked. Unplugged adapter. Unplugged charger, plugged in headphones, then plugged in adapter. Still no sound. Cussing at this point, checked the headphone plug to ensure seated properly, then eventually unplugged and re-seated it. Wait...sound from the headphone? Tried again. Same scenario Seems this adapter wanted to be in first, then the headphone. Tried the charger next. Similar result and it was recognized as a turbo charger this time. Repeated the test. Slow charge if charger in adapter, then adapter into the phone, but turbo charger if adapter into phone first, then charger into adapter. Strange behavior, but unsure if it is a 'feature' of my Moto phone. So now that I have figured out adapter into phone first with no attachment(s), then attachment(s) after, no issues. Soundwise, headphones ok and according to the people on the other end, microphone sounds fine, and I verfied with a recording also.Nothing on this strange behavior of the insertion sequence in the instructions except to contact support if any problem before issuing 1 star ratings.Without digging out my ruler or measuring tape, about 3.5 inches long end to end.Hopefully it lasts until the next phone as it was a bit pricey to get the microphone capability.

This adapter is well made, looks great, and sounds great. HOWEVER...Please note that while using this adapter, none of the speech to function on my Google Pixel 3 XL worked while the adapter was connected to my headset that had a microphone. I returned it because of this behavior.

I have had this adapter for a few months now and i love it . it its very nice to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time.
