MAHLE Original OX 128/1D ECO Oil Filter

This filter fit perfectly in our porsche boxter. Good price, good product and it does the job. We will be ordering another one when it is oil changing time.

You can pay more for a 'Porsche' branded oil filter but this is the 'real thing'. Made by Mahle. Perfect fit and does the job that an oil filter is supposed to do. Comes with the o-ring and is an easy maintenance project for the home mechanic. Don't pay $400 for your dealer to do it when you can for around $50 (counting oil).

It’s a filter, I assume it’s fine. I always examine inside pleats on used filter for any metal. Then on a 996 clean out the old filter housing, put on the new seal, push the filter on the engine, then screw on housing. I use this filter brand, and never had issues.

This was my second purchase. For the first one, I ran for a full year with no leaking or issues. Fits 2006 987.1 Porsche Boxster. Good value,.

I've been using Mahle filters for over 20 years. They are great filters and hold up well. I ordered a OX128/1D but that was not the filter I received. The filter I received was a slightly longer model. I found this out when I attempted to install the filter and screw the filter housing back on. The housing would not thread all the way back on. When I pulled it back out, I realized that I was shipped the wrong filter. Since I didn't check the part number before I began the oil change, I had to go and purchase another filter to complete the job. As I hadn't checked, I did not attempt to return the incorrect filter as it had oil on from me trying to install it.

This fit my car as expected and the installation was super easy.

Great product, I've been buying this from the local parts store for the last 5 years. This is the OEM replacement part for Porsche so it doesn't get much better than this. Quality filter fits like a glove every time.
